BooJaka Posted August 21, 2007 It's pretty interesting. Why do we play video games?
vimes Posted August 21, 2007 Done.. the first agree/ disagree question is quite strange :there's a lot of stuff overlapping.
elmuerte Posted August 21, 2007 Totally disagree - Strongly disagree - Disagree - Neither disagree or agree - Agree - Strongly agree - Totally agree *sigh* meh... a research about how gamers think they are affected by video games. that's like asking a patient how sick he think he is. it would be better if the people feel the same way with books and/or movies. DanJW Posted August 21, 2007 That overlappoing is necessary for good scientific surveys - since most people don't really know their own mind, you have to ask the same question several different ways to get a decent idea of the "truth".
JoannaDark Posted August 21, 2007 the overlapping is to avoid something called acquiescence response set - which just means agreeing with every question outta laziness. psychologists cunningly think that if they rephrase a question and you answer it differently it means you're a waster whose results don't bear analysing. this is why i don't use questionair=hey a spider just fell outta nowhere on my laptop between two keys - how the hell do i get him out! Thrik Posted August 21, 2007 God. I absolutely hate surveys that have about five answers to everything. Out of protest I just limited it to the 'Disagree', 'Dunno', and 'Agree' options. Appropriately reminds me of game review scoring. :fart:
