Ok.... we'll start with this:

"Ben Jones, a former Georgia congressman who played the wisecracking mechanic Cooter on the popular series from 1979 to 1985, said profanity and sexual content in the film make a mockery of the family-friendly show." (From CNN online)

That having been said let me examine this closer: A man who once played a character named COOTER is complaining about PROFANITY and SEXUAL CONTENT.

For those of you like my mother, who didn't understand what I was talking about, cooter is an innuendo for the female genitals.

You can sort of see why it is inane for this man to protest this movie.

The only complaint about this movie that makes sense is the one from the NAACP. They didn't like the use of the confederate flag on the car. This is somewhat logical, and while it's a complaint that probably won't be listened to by many people, it makes a whole lot more sense than Cooter's crusade for moral justice.

I wonder if his campaign slogans referred at all back to his TV role at all.

Something like, "You'll have a hooter if you vote for Cooter."

's better than electing the Governator. :shifty:
