This is just the usual over-simplification of statistics to make a point. Granted, that's something the other side does often and it's good to see it from this perspective, but it's not really meaningful. The exact same stats can also be attributed to the legalization of abortion or the fall of the Berlin Wall or Kurt Cobain's death or other random things that happened during the early 90s (late 89).
