Jayel Posted June 9, 2005 To all Scott Campbell fans out there, check out "Project: Superior". It's totally worth it. Especially if you appreciate good art.
Jayel Posted June 9, 2005 http://adhousebooks.com/adhousebooks/books.html Hmmm... this is the best link I can find. You'll have to scroll down to read the description of the book. I should probably mention that it's a collection of works by many illustrators, not just Scott Campbell
Jake Posted June 9, 2005 Ah ok I looked it up on Amazon. Sounds cool, thanks very much!
baconian Posted June 9, 2005 Also in that book is Tim Biskup. Looks like a good buy. I'd love to see Tim Biskup's style in a DF game. I suppose it's not that far off psychonauts', but typing this sentence just reminded me of something that I meant to try ages ago; programming a cubist 3D game engine, where a number of different perspectives can coexist simultaneously on screen. Have to give that a shot.
Simon Posted June 9, 2005 I read Project: Superior quite recently, really liked it. I even blogged it. Scott Campbell's piece is definitely one of the highlights. Also Graham Annable, who a lot of us have come across. does a lovely story called 'Captain Insomniac'. I think I got it on the basis of those two, but it's a good anthology all-round, so there were a few nice surprises. Tim Biskup was one, yep. Also Martin Cendreda (I think his is the first thing in the book).
Roderick Posted June 9, 2005 Didn't Scott Campbell also do a TPB called Blue Moon? I loved the artwork but I had NO idea what the hell it was about. So it meant about err, nothing for me. It's great if you look at it as just a neat artbook though. Great anatomy, poses.
