Erkki Posted May 23, 2005 rattataa. We all (programmers @ my workplace) got ourselves new 19" monitors (previously some people, like me, had 15" montiors). For the first time Idle Thumbs doesn't fill the whole screen... yay!
Erkki Posted May 23, 2005 TFT. It's fucking titled though. (it can rotate from landscape to portrait and if I push it all the way till the final "click", it's fucking tilted). So I have to not turn it all the way and that means if I accidentally touch it I will have to readjust.. Baah. Just my luck...
Dingo Chavez Posted May 23, 2005 Switching from a 15" monitor to a 19" completely changes the PC experience. Nice to hear you moved on up, Erkki.
Erkki Posted June 2, 2005 Yay! And the saga continues. After also getting new PC's at work, I bought a new one for home as well. I went kind of cheap: used ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard, Athlon 64 3000+, Radeon X600Pro 256MB and 512MB used DDR ram, some sort of Antec case, and a 160GB SATA hard drive. Also I finally got with the times and got a DVD burner (had never even had a DVD-ROM). I'll probably upgrade some of that stuff in the fall or so, at least the motherboard should have lots of potential for that.
