Actually, that's where I got it from in the first place I would prefer it not to be a name or place, but I'll give it to you if no one else comes up with anything.

I'm looking for them to be next to each other. Like in the example with balloon, there's no letter between "ll" and "oo".

I actually considered that when I was making the thread. You may have noticed that one of the tags is "the baffler".

I'll go first. The word "cool" has one double letter (oo). The word "balloon" has 2 adjacent double letters (ll and oo). Can you name a word that has 3 adjacent double letters?

Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)
SecretAsianMan replied to Irishjohn's topic in Multiplayer Networking
I got to 4-2 but I didn't record because I'm not sure I'm going to keep doing it. I'm kind of getting burnt out on Spelunky. It's still fun, but not as much as it used to be now that I've beat Yama on multiple daily challenges. And ghosting to improve score or getting better times don't interest me. -
I had some money left in my eshop account and this game has been on my wishlist for a while, so I bought it a few days ago. Seemed like an appropriate way to close out the Year of Luigi. Just beat the first mansion last night. I played the first one on the GC and this feels like a nice return with some things improved and some things not. I love the exploration aspect but I prefer the single large mansion to the repeated mansions. I like the flashlight tools though, those are neat. I reread this thread and I'm not looking forward to these terrible bosses. I was actually quite annoyed with the first boss. I liked the puzzle aspect but I kept running into the little spiders and dropping the web ball, forcing me to restart that section over and over. Hearing that this is one of the BETTER bosses has me nervous.

When I saw that he was hit with a flower pot, my first thought was "Were there any rupees in it?"

I thought that someone had previously discussed this on the podcast. -

I think there's a scene like this in the movie Point Break, except it involves fighting over a parachute rather than making the other person a cushion. As for game designs that spring to mind, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity was the first thing I thought of. Seems like it could be easily cyber punked, in some ways it already is.

I hope it's an inner monologue that reveals his thoughts and feelings to the player but the game characters are still given the silent treatment. -
Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.
SecretAsianMan replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
I'm think I'm about done with Spelunky. I can get to and beat Yama relatively easily and I have all the achievements I care to get. I can certainly improve more and try for better times or scores, but I'm at the level of mastery that I care to achieve and I'm seeing diminishing returns with each game. I might continue to do daily challenges for a while, but my heart's just not in it. It was a lot of fun, but I've had my fill and I think it's time to move on to something else. -

What if the DayZ stream was really the start of a Campo Santo ARG... -
The old Daily Challenge seeds used to be generated based on the date, so certain daily challenges would repeat. The Pro HUD update changed the seed so this wouldn't happen anymore.

I did a silly thing and forgot to get the eye. After that I just started messing around. -

I know that Jake put on the mustache during the stream, but in screenshots it looks drawn in.

The pots can only contain treasure or enemies, never items.

I'm sorry to hear that subbes. I've never had a pet so I don't know what losing one is like, but I can't imagine it's an easy thing to get over. I think Gormongous has it right, fill your final time together with love.

Goldblum laugh remixed as a song -
Oh yeah, I'm SUPER awkward. I sound like an idiot ("Awesome, a jetpack! Best sacrifice ever!"...ugh) because I feel the need to say SOMETHING instead of just having complete silence. But it won't get any better if I don't do it, so I keep doing it in the hopes that one day I'll having something significant to say. Or so I tell myself.
