After ten episodes, Kekkai Sensen is giving me a recap episode. Ten episodes. It's been a while since I had to put up with a recap episode! It's particularly boring because the Big Plot is the worst part of this anime. It's the smaller, personal stories (and the character design of all the weird otherworldly aliens) that are its real strength. Also last week ended on a huge cliffhanger in the Big Plot, so it's even weirder. Boooooo.

I'm disappointed it's getting a second season, because it really felt like something that should've been short and sweet, not drawn out for no reason. I like it a lot, but every episode is basically the same thing. Oh well.

the dungeon crawling still isn't in the official version, only the beta, so that doesn't really count. He's still working on that update, apparently! I agree that cookie clicker us more interesting compared directly to this, but I also think that the steam game is inherently more full of potential, if only for the multiplayer. Too bad this implementation is awful.

Yep! There were actually some sound files for him in the patch that came out a...month or so ago? Or maybe it was the one with Mewtwo. More importantly, Roy is back!!!!

Dunno if you're getting around to it, or if they don't work because it's only one episode so far, but the "subscribe to itunes" and "rss feed" buttons just redirect to the episode page, rather than doing as advertised. At any rate, this is rad! Been looking forward to True Detective's new season for a while. EDIT: Gorm: Awesomer and awesomer.

Reboot's super weird. As so many things do, it began as an episodic what-crazy-thing-is-happening-this-week deal, but turned into, like, a real story? But then it ended on a complete non-ending. "Hey the big bad just came back and he's stronger than ever! Goodbye." Then they tried to revive it as a webcomic, with ideas sourced from fans. This is (or was?) an OFFICIAL continuation of the story. And it was basically "at some point in the future, a zombie apocalypse happens!" Yeah. And so the new stuff, as I just learned, is... hahaha wow okay

If it's any consolation, I'm obviously on the "knows more than the average person" side of things in anime, and I still don't know half the names you drop! But seriously, it doesn't matter if your knowledge is limited. In fact, I think that's a valuable perspective! -

I was mostly joking but I have mentioned before that Ping Pong doesn't really follow the sports anime genre structure and flow, which is why, when I talk about "sports anime", I don't often bring it up. Chihayafuru, on the other hand, almost exactly follows the genre tropes, it just puts a little more emphasis on relationships between players (although, really not THAT much more emphasis, since that's still a big element of what makes a sports anime good). -

I basically hate reddit. There are occasional pockets of goodness but then I see some real bullshit poke its head into there and everybody just accepts it and I can't. I can't.

Ah, yeah, that's bad. Hopefully it's just the server load causing problems, and not the actual game itself. Not that that makes it better, but at least there's hope of those problems going away. It's amazing how even still valve can't handle the load that comes with EVERY SINGLE SALE. All that said, even if the game's shit, I appreciate that it's something new, personally.

I like idle games, personally, so I have no problem with it. Although I haven't done much yet since I'm at work, so it may just be a shit idle game.
