I don't even know who Jason is. I don't listen to Bombcast, and Dan leaving won't make me start. But I loved the Beastcast even up until last week. I loved it a lot. I don't dislike Dan, but... if he continues to be Dan, I don't think I will like the Beastcast anymore. ): -

I'd like to see him try his hand at another system once they finish The Adventure Zone (if they ever do??). It'd be cool to listen to them goof around in a, I dunno, cyberpunk setting. Or maybe a 1920s occult setting. Or Call of Cthulhu. There's also the idea of other people running games, which they talked about at one time. (And, I'm led to believe, Travis did run a one-shot? But it's behind a paywall? I dunno how that shit works. I'd probably subscribe just for TAZ extras if I bothered to research.) Anyway I agree that this arc has been fantastic. Part of the reason I really love it is because it feels more like a tabletop campaign SHOULD feel. He's giving them a lot of freedom, and letting them play around in a sandbox. There are reasonable limitations within the fiction of the world and it's fun. He's still not the best GM, but I like watching him improve. He's certainly light years ahead of me. Not that I've ever GM'd. ):

Root is the best. I started watching Penny Dreadful because I like vampires and shit, and it's definitely piqued my interest. I'm only three episodes in. There's a psychic lady who appears to be hunted by all manner of the supernatural including possibly the devil?? i dunno, a fake cowboy who's a pretty good shot and apparently bisexual, a pretty boy obsessed with sex who's also apparently bisexual (Dorian Gray), an old man who wants to save his vampiric daughter, and literally Doctor Frankenstein. There's also one African guy who is the old man's servant. It is Victorian London, and he's never treated poorly, at least. He's got a bunch of bumps on his cheeks? I don't know what that's about. Very violent and NSFW.
