Every time I try to use Firefox I'm reminded how awful and slow it is compared to Chrome. I wish it wasn't because Google keeps doing stupid shit with Chrome. Ugh. That said I don't really care about this because HTML5/WebGL should be and hopefully will be the best way to do things eventually anyway. -

I beat Ebrietas! Then I helped a few people beat her and that was fun. I also used all my insight items and got up to 93 insight. And then spent 18 on fire/bolt paper. Shrug! -

Ah, that makes sense. I mean it doesn't, but I understand it, now. I think I was originally trying to see something positive since I like his work, and was reading it as "a bunch of idiots are whining about politics, thus inherently making things more political". Probably also because that's what I would say to mock these fools. X: That's a shame.

FWIW, there were moments when I felt like I wanted to jump in and try to steer things back on track (if only because I actually do have some very (very) minor experience hosting (with my old video games podcast!!!)). But I didn't want to step on anyone's toes, 'cause I also know from LISTENING experience that sometimes when you get multiple people trying to take control it can sound... weird? Basically what I'm saying is I could watch out for that, too, or I could just keep silent until you/we get better at this. -
To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure I understand what Jim Butcher is actually saying there. I think I'm missing context (like maybe I don't fully understand "Sad Puppies"?) I'd like to understand more clearly because I do like The Dresden Files quite a bit!

While running around in the Unseen Village and it's weird. Apparently that's supposed to start happening at 60 insight according to the wiki I checked, but I only have 41! (I did have over 60 before I got to the Unseen Village, but then I bought all the armor sets.) I'm just gonna assume it's something that happens once they sky turns red and isn't actually related to insight. EDIT: And of course the obvious just occurred to me that it's all linked up to that stuff. So, well, duh. -

Yes, there absolutely are. Well there are every time I go laptop hunting. I've no interest in a laptop right now, so maybe all Windows laptops today suck. Apple products are overpriced because they're a status symbol, and nothing more. I mean they're fine products and high quality, but they shouldn't be as expensive as they are in most cases.

Well to be fair she accepted the new position after we had already set up the date, so it's not like she knew for sure. I don't hold it against her or anything, it's just annoying. Also it's the second time since I started looking (across a large number of three different people!!) where I felt like the first date was great and then the second one I felt like what do we even have top talk about. Even ignoring the new job. I'm such a terrible conversationalist...

I mean it's only like what five strips or even if it's ten that's not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. Too much, too little, that's not really relevant to me. I don't think it was ever meant to be... dramatic? It's supposed to be uncomfortable. I don't like being uncomfortable and I don't like seeing this awesome character essentially reduced to nothing.
