  1. The Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary Committee

Every time I come back to check this thread, something beautiful happens to my eyes.
  2. Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary

There's something incredibly calming about listening to outdated video game news. If I were to describe why the old episodes are so perpetually entertaining, I'd say the actual discussion (being old and outdated) becomes the comfortable radio feedback and the sound of genuine friendly discourse is the actual easy listening.
  3. Anyone Remember?

If i were to take a wild guess, you should try that Quakecon episode where they talk about bawls the energy drink.
  4. Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary

This is stupid (yet fitting), but I found Idle Thumbs by being bored and googling "video games podcast". I think at some point Chris mentioned Queen's 'Night At The Opera' as something he would listen to over and over in high school. The same goes with me and the original 50 episodes.
  5. The Idle Thumbs 10th Anniversary Committee

Should have dug this out with some really unassuming title like, uh... "video games" Also, possibly the best gift idea ever.
  6. Idle Bibles - An Idle Thumbs Bible Game

There's this QTE sequence where you, as Moses, mash Q to split the red sea.
  7. Walking Dead Season the Second

I enjoyed the Gurgles. This is not a spoiler.
  8. There are 2 agitated zombie pigmen that are camping the other side of the nether portal! All of my stuff is just on the floor and I cant kill them.
  9. Album of the Year, '13

B-Room was an incredible entry for me into Dr Dog. I must have had that on repeat for well over a month. Also, and I really didn't expect this, I've really enjoyed childish gambino's (horribly titled but solid album) .
  10. So is anyone down for some ranked matchmaking play with the new update?
  11. Episode 8... ?

    hahah the best! Lords Management
  12. I love that pretty much every creative comic person I've ever followed on the Internet is involved (even the dude who made 8-Bit Theater way back when is a writer on this). I just wish I knew what or why the hell this exists.
  13. Your Favourite Book This Year (2013)

Reading Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon has been a joy. Among the others this year (like Infinite Jest, Art of Fielding, Crying of Lot 49, which are all good) its just been great to read a book that has much of the same literary depth but is still energetically adventurous and fun.
  14. Internet Comics

The current Dresden Codak series Dark Science is beginning to hit a climax now. Fascinating that I've been following this relatively small story for 3 years now.
  15. Now there's three of those.
  16. Let's Draw Video Games

    quick spelunky sketch
  17. The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

This song is on Gimme Fiction, but I really dug ga ga ga ga ga, which is their next album that just happens to be hard to say without sounding stupid. Dont You Evah/Underdog/Cherry Bomb got consistent plays from me for years. Also in this time of no Thumbs songs, here's the folk song Chris put on the Spacebase album that I really like http://doublefine.bandcamp.com/track/the-settler
  18. just wanted to pop in and point out that the script that runs camposanto.com's fancy changing background is called wizard.js they do care!
  19. ive been taking the occasional screenshot of the town just to have some reference of it changing:
  20. if you could add my friend "Aiieve" to the whitelist, that'd be great (but its fine if you don't want to)
  21. New people: Read this, say hi.

    Oh hey! I love Foiled!
  22. This episode had one of the most catastrophic downward-spiral endings in a while, and I loved it.
  23. PL4YST4TION 4

The most incredible thing happened when I found Polygon's review of the Xbone/PS4. Being a loser, I thought it would be funny to try and watch the video review for both consoles at the same time. The PS4 review was preceded by an advertisement for the Xbox One, and the Xbox One review was preceded by an advertisement for the Playstation Store. I laughed really hard.
  24. lookin good (besides my crap render distance)
