Doodle God A mobile game converted to a PC game. You match 2 things to (maybe) create a new thing. You do this until you've found all combinations. Some combinations are logical, but most of them are not. So in the end you are just trying to combine everything with everything.

Completed Life is Strange The story developed in quite a different way then I expected it to go based on what I played in episode 1. It went more down the path I did not really care for. So it became a bit tedious for me wrap up the game. Which is a shame for me, but I guess others would enjoy what's what went on. The game is a bit like those modern Telltale games where you make choices that affect the story. But you have the ability to rewind time and redo (most of your choices). Although in most cases you must rewind time to take the, more or less, only correct dialogue path. This is sometimes a bit annoying because it feels like trial and error to just get on with the story. You do not really have an actual choice in this matter. There are still plenty of choices left in the game.

Owlboy It's quite a nice game, but there are a bunch of really annoying challenges, especially near the end where a previously nice control feature is actually making things more complicated and it should be. The very frequent cinematics are quite a bit annoying.
  5. Full Throttle Remastered

I don't like the logo in the end. The flames don't look great.

Dishonored 2 It's more of dishonored 1, except it's way more aggressive. You are pretty much in constant agro mode. I recall way more downtime in the first one. Here you only spend a short time at the base of operations, pretty much only to get your new objective. I also found the world design way more limiting. Most segments are quite narrow funnels. There's still plenty alternative routes to take, but it's still quite a linear route you traverse. There are a few cases where you have a nice large complex open area. That was a really nice part of the game. I attempted to do a complete stealth non-lethal play through. I didn't kill anybody, the void engine however did kill 4 people in my name. I'm pretty sure unconscious people died due to the physics engine after loading a savegame. It happened quite a few times that there was a huge explosion or some other weird physics thing going on after loading (e.g. things being launched in the air). I think the same thing happened to some bodies which I didn't put in the most physics stable locations. As for the stealth part, in the last mission somebody detected me somewhere, but I have no recall of that. Given the fact that you cannot restart a mission this pretty much screwed up my play through. :/ Another thing which annoyed me is the fact that choke option did not always trigger correctly. It also happened quite a few times where instead of putting down a body the game decided to throw the body through a glass door. So that required a bunch of reloads. I did like the large amount of optional content. Stuff you would completely miss if you did not fully explore the world. Things which also have effect later on in the game. There are also a bunch of timed content. Once started you have to act quick or you'll miss out on doing something. Another nice thing was that mission 6 is completely optional, you can skip it simply by solving a (difficult) riddle and continue to mission 7. (The answer to the riddle can also be found when you do continue with mission 6). This riddle was difficult enough to require pen and paper. Anyway, It was a fun game, but I think Dishonored 1 was better. I'm not going to return to play the same game as a different character in a different mode as I've seen pretty much everything there was to see (hence my almost 40 hours to complete it).

It's quite stable, for me. I've only had 1 crash throughout the whole game. The performance was good on my brand new PC with good hardware. It does have quite a lot of graphical issues (i.e. things that don't look great). It's just not a lot of fun.

Finished Mafia III It looks like the only thing they did work out well was the background story, the documentary like movies which they show after major events. The rest all feels like they simply stopped working on halfway. It has a large world, but there isn't actually anything to do. The map shows all kinds of points of interest, but there's nothing there. The overall gameplay is just constantly repeating and doing the same thing over and over again until you unlock a boss mission which adds some variety. Another sign that the game is quite unfinished is the huge airport/casino part of the map you only visit once for the final showdown. And even then you only go to the casino for a 10 minute mission. I'm not even sure if you can get to the airport. You spend most of the time doing small "missions" to take over a territory, which you can assign to one of your under bosses. The only effect that this has is that it will unlock a "perk" from the under bosses' perk list. Perks like: being able to steal a car unnoticed, health upgrades, weapon skill upgrades. But other than those perks those under bosses will not do anything. They aren't helping you at all while taking down the bad guy, it's all just you.

Lumino City It's a really wonderful little puzzle game. Except that you spend a lot of time trying to figure out what you can interact with. There is no indication and sometimes it's only a few pixels large. But the world is gorgeous, great music, and interesting puzzles.
  10. You did try to factory reset your UEFI right? UEFI is notoriously fragile with all the weird shit software (like windows) can do to it.
  11. Movie/TV recommendations

Just saw Doctor Strange. I liked it. It is, however, a very stereotypical comic/super-hero story. All boxes have been checked. Visually it was quite appealing, loved all the over the top special effects. Except for the crappy 3D conversion stuff. The computer generated effects were all in 3D, but all the live action stuff, like people, looked like cardboard cutouts (as usual with these 3D conversions).

Oxenfree Quite an interesting game. The dialogue system is a bit weird, you have to respond fast, even before others are done speaking. It's like a QTE system. I hadn't realized the choices I picked had any influence in the outcome. I wish there wasn't a collectable part in the game. Especially the letters are a shame as I didn't feel like strolling through the whole world to find 2 missing letters. Now I missed out on some interesting back story. Anyway, the game was a really nice experience. The mystery, the art, the music, the awesome classic video effects. It made a wonderful game.

Knights of Pen and Paper +2 Better than the original, but it is a bit of a chore. A lot of quests do involve tedious traveling around returning to the same places just to kill a few more enemies. But unlike the first one I did finish this one to the end. It has a lot of geek culture references. There's also a part where you have to buy DLC, which you can buy with in-game coins (it's actually part of the game). And then there's a real DLC which you can play towards to, and then you actually have to buy it.

Just finished Obduction There sure is a lot of running around and getting stuck because you missed a small thing here or there. But in the end I made it without a walk through. The maze teleportation puzzle was a pain. It wasn't difficult, just really slow in solving it due to all the loading time. And there was this weird alien keypad thingy which I never figured out, just used trial and error until I got the desired effect. The game world is really gorgeous, except for the cheesy explosion. I really liked the design of the world with the big chains and stuff.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided That went by quite quickly. For some reason I did not expect the game to end where it did. Even though all signs pointed to an end-game situation I somehow got the idea that this was just the ending of a major mission rather than the whole game. I played this game pretty much like I played DX:HR. So all skills on hacking early on, finding all possible routes, and non-lethal. I did not like the branching point in the second act where you pick to either do mission X or mission Y. I played both missions, and X was clearly the more interesting one (and more valuable I guess). Besides missing out on a single side mission I think I did every thing. There were some really fun side missions. And all the order stuff you could do. So many areas which had absolutely nothing to do with any mission or story element. The Breach game mode is dumb. It forces me to play the game in the way I do not want to play it (i.e. stealth).

You Must Build a Boat Too me a long time to finish it. It's quite tedious. It's more about luck than skill. That and grinding.
  23. I haven't even done the first real mission. I've been robbing people in Prague a doing a few side missions. I created pretty much the same characters as before, a lot of hacking skills early in the game so I can break into everything.
  24. (didn't read any of the previous comment) I'm a huge asshole, breaking into people's houses stealing their credits and booze. So far I've done the tutorial, which has a shitty end I did not enjoy. and the first two side missions. Is it just me or is the game way less stylized? They're trying to be more realistic in all forms, except for the enormous augmented overlays.
