You mean Pandora? That's the only other open source console I know about. Pandora still isn't available for the mass market, they haven't even finished all their preorders. And the price isn't really helping.

"Pillar of Community" is a bit lame. I don't have a facebook account, so I can never complete that. Anyway... nothing of interest in the current sales. I already have everything I'm interesed in.

The Runaway games were ok, I enjoyed playing them. They are a bit weird though, the writing isn't that great, but it's a nice "story". The story is on the level of Indiana Jones 4 of dumbness and all over the place. The puzzles range from rediculous adventure puzzles to dead simple. How does it compare to TTG? I couldn't tell because the TTGs are quite different from eachother. But overal, I wouldn't Runaway on the list of adventure games you have to play. But if you have to choose a Runaway game and Dreamfall, then pick Runaway.

If I completely ignore what Hollywood is producing these days, then I'd like to see these as mini-series. - Anachronox - Deus Ex They could be cut to long movies, but I think it would be better suit for a 6 hour mini series. The Anachronox "movie" cut has cut most action sequences and it clocks in at about 2,5 hours. Unless you've played the game quite some parts come off non-sensical. But I think it would be bad to simply transform a game into a movie. A movie based on the universe of a game would be much better.

On The Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness Three Just finished it after a tough boss battle (took me 4 tries). Overal the game is good, great music, great writing. But I'm giving it a because the fighting becomes quite tedious. Especially when you found a winning sequence of actions that'll win you every battle (except the boss battle) without even thinking about what's going on. But that's an standard problem with jRPGs. Yes, unlike the first 2 rainslick games, this is not a SNES era jRPG like game. So no QTE during moves to get the best attack, no 3D, etc. I think it's quite well done. There's not as much griding as in the usual jRPGs, but still to much for me. Anyway, it took me about 9 hours to finish the game, and for $5 that's a good bargain.
