  1. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

For me, the tag line has the same tone as "Why so serious?"
  2. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

    Grilled rat Santa.
  3. Movie/TV recommendations

Goddammit, I thought I had read this season of Dexter was going to be the last, but turns out there's going to be one more. I was in the middle of an episode, but I'll just stop now.
  4. It's actually Geoff Keighley's skull.
  5. Sui Generis (Kickstarter)

I can think of many games not nearly as complicated to pull off as that technology. Also, Sir, You Are Being Hunted asked for less than third of Sui Generis' goal, and that team has released a couple of games.
  6. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

    Duuuuude. Mind blown.
  7. A Game of Dwarves

RPS didn't like this at all.
  8. Polygon (internet website)

Everywhere. Rab's article. Comedic image thread.
  9. Polygon (internet website)

Wait, did that picture actually originate in Polygon? Maaan... They are off to a bad start.
  10. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

    Stop traveling by motorcycle
  11. Polygon (internet website)

The documentary already fulfilled their journalistic aspirations.
  12. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

I dunno. All I can think of is that is simply idiotic. Don't cross that bridge. Go somewhere else. There can be no reason for that. I didn't see his first born drowning on the other bank.
  13. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

Even they thought nobody would actually want to just scratch some goddamn cube.
  14. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

This is killing me. I'm a huge fan of FFE. No game has had that feeling for me when flying around. But it just doesn't seem like he gives a damn about this project. Clearly they didn't even study the Kickstarter landscape at all, because if they had they would have known about how and why Old-School RPG failed.
  15. Life

People can take a bit of hurt. It's coddling that's worse for their self-esteem. No one needs to be treated like a child.
  16. Mass Effect 2

Oh, Bioware. I'm so tired of male gaze camera and Barbie doll NPCs in Bioware games. Obviously they exist elsewhere, but Bioware is supposed to care about characterization. Mass Effect 3 isn't quite as bad... until that same character turns up. If I want to look at a butt, I can make that happen. Mixing soft core porn visuals in my games doesn't add any value to them.
  17. Plug your shit

I like the Bionic Commando one.
  18. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

That rule only applies for industrial design stuff.
  19. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

    Oh look, it's Sonic.
  20. Life

The particular one at the top is a bit weird to me. That blog is so demanding of perfect behavior and just perfect awareness of how people feel and what they are trying to say in every situation. I mean, the approach they go for those horrible sexual abuse cases that are discussed on the blog is great, but I don't know if some guy who didn't manage to write his first serious relationship as a loss immediately deserves the same mode of response. No one can know how to do these things exactly right the first time. The problem in that one is pretty common: If you're breaking up with someone (esp. after a long and serious relationship) and present the reasons as a list of specific problems, for many people it's natural to approach those as problems that need solving rather than accepting the relationship is over. That way is also not as direct and honest as it may seem, because there's probably a more fundamental reason for the breakup you're not mentioning. Such as "it's not working" or "I just don't have romantic feelings for you anymore", which have the benefit of actually getting the message across. Uhm, this is not in reference to your thing, Nachimir, subbes' advice is perfect as far as I can judge these things. Just something that occurred to me earlier when I read that blog post on Captain Awkward.
  21. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

I think it'll still go through, because it's Elite, but it feels like a lazy effort from the start. They'll probably use their Kinectimals tech.
  22. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

This is a bit like Old-School RPG, but the pitch is worse.
  23. Life

    Forever December.

I love how Arnie steals the clothes of this average size punk but when you see him wearing the clothes they look a bit loose on Arnie.
