So fucking tired of people who don't know anything about video games make authoritative claims. If the only movie I had seen was Steven Seagal's Under Siege (which I watched a couple of days ago), and made some claims about cinema based on that, Roger Ebert wouldn't spend time arguing against me. Why do we keep trying to disprove the arguments of people who are basing their claims on nothing at all?

80ms is okayish for a ping... but horrendous for controller lag. You can't play a shooter and wait 80ms for the reticle to do what you want it to do.

People, the new episode of Dollhouse was good! Properly, thoroughly good! EDIT: Oh! Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles is really good. Honest! The first season was quite crappy and the actor playing Connor didn't fit the part at all. I just watched for an hours downtime each week. But the second season has been getting better all the time. It seems impossible that the people behind the first season could pull it off, but everything seems to click in place now. Even Connor's actor has grown into the role. The newest episode is better than a ton of Galactica episodes...

Yes... They probably realized it's better not to confuse the game and break immersion with NPCs. Portal is great in that you don't really know how long ago that stuff was written. A sense of loneliness works well to enhance mood.
