Anything good in about 37 inch? My brother's getting one and I think 40 or more would be overkill and too expensive.

Dammit, when's the next one coming out. It must've been like three months since Spinner Cay already.

It looks totally fucked ergonomically. It's way too high.

If your monitors resolution is higher than 720p (1280x720) and there are no black bars around the picture, it's upscaling the resolution. This always looks bad.

So this technology has an efficiency rate of about 50%? Sure, it's better than batteries, but I never used batteries to power my TV or computer. And what's so bad about plugging in your electric car?

The PA games are great, you silly people.

I'm voting for not getting Indigo Prophecy. I think that game has made me an altogether more cynical person. I now expect everything to fail.

This is wonderful, Jake!

Ooh, that's awesome. Still haven't finished either of them :x

No. I don't think there's any reason or anything to gain by moving to 2D now.

Hah, I figured that was your work, I was going to gush about it too. The transitions somehow contribute way more than a simple transition should. Man, it must be annoying to read the compression stuff again and again :X Actually, when I was playing Screaming Narwhal, I started to suspect they'd fixed it, or at least I didn't notice it that much. But it's back in full force in Spinner Cay. Also, Telltale would have to rework all their engine stuff and tools for 2D, which would be really expensive. I get the feeling that those tools are a big reason they can put out these episodes so quickly (see Valve).

I like this. Re: the other stuff... Just block your ears, close your eyes and chant: Happy, happy, joy, joy Happy, happy, joy, joy...

QTEs weren't even the worst parts of that game. If the story wasn't so atrocious, those would've been bearable.

Man, Trials HD has so much stuff. SO MUCH. It's certainly aimed at completionists but has a ton of modes and easier levels for regular sane people. At that price, I'm certain anyone will get their money's worth. Or if you're cheap, play this by the same people: http://www.redlynx.com/phobiaIII/download.html

That's one of my favourites. I've seen some other movies by Wes Anderson, and while I like them, they don't seem to have quite the same charm as that one.

I heard there's dwarf sex in it.

I suppose it's drawing energy from the controller? That may be why it's not very loud.

Huh, just curious, which Finnish one do you own?

Probably broke the board

Tangent tangentially related to Dan's post: How is it possible that the CoD games do not have bots (or AI players in multiplayer :/ ) and also do not support splitscreen play on an online server like Halo 3? I spent years players Half-Life mods and Quake 3 mods with perfectly fine bots you could use if you didn't have enough players. It's such a huge step backwards, especially when the games would be so much fun with a few human players playing splitscreen against a ton of bots. Why even have the regular multiplayer option when the most players you can have in splitscreen is 4?
