Dead Island fails to live up to its name and is in fact alive

I hate durability in games. It never feels real, just a hindrance. -
Agreed. Breaks my heart.

"Auntie Pixelante" VS. Jim Sterling... MisandryVs. misogyny?

Also, you shouldn't fault people for assuming you're a jackass if you act like a jackass. -
So weird looking at this thread for perhaps the first time and finding that political erm, discussion.

Jake, that's the sense I got from it, I just couldn't put it into words.

Eh? It was fine. And I didn't think it was supposed to be a cliff-hanger at all.

You know, I kinda don't see the BASS feel either. That one had a fantastic mix of humour and darkness, this one seems to be more serious. Which is not a bad thing, it seems relatively original.

Problem is, you can't measure social situations and feed the data into your engine :/

That's no excuse!

Why isn't this a screening of Alien?

I like the creative spelling. That way they can point out they only guarantee freedom of OPINLON :X "The State shall guarantee freedom of opinlon."

Dang. I have it from Dotemu and it's crap. I stopped playing after the first scene because the added material is horrible. What a way to ruin the wonderful beginning of the actual game. I feel bad for people who've only had the chance to play this version.

I had a good time, but I think the game has some problems. It's just not difficult enough. Nobody is ever in actual threat of losing major territories. In the end you're racing to get your armies to the zombies, and if they aren't very close to your territory you're just out of luck.

My Kindle screen broke, so be careful with yours, Nevsky...

No chance of reaching any more zombies, though I've known for a while I wouldn't be able to catch up to red. I've played as red once and the points just seemed to rack up. That makes three of five games I've played won by the red player!

Gwardinen I've been secretly boosting your fey army with like 40 dudes I have purple territories I can't use... My advice is, it's good to be on the warpath because after a few fights your generals are tough enough to take on anything. There's a point after which you can just start pumping new guys into your 5+ dice armies without much fear of anything.

Gigapixel? Pfff. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12167011

Yup, my 6 wizards just killed a bunch of zombies even though I had a force of 41 stationed there too. Luckily the town was fortified and there were no casualties.

Sounds like... good for Europe? Too bad about Americans having to deal with a cartoon dragon.

I haven't been logging in so I'm about to get slaughtered!

Oh no, now the spam bots cracked Yufster's account!

My view of historical courtesans would be that the cultures that had them were so totally male dominated it was possible to have this class of prostitutes that was accepted into courts (when regular old whoring was probably illegal). A veneer of respectability.
