Yes! I know exactly what you mean.

Preferably with at least one grammatical error.

I like jazz, but I mostly just listen to stuff at random. I will definitely check out the suggestions in this thread! Some Finnish Jazz: Does this count as Jazz?
-
I used to like it a lot, but it has gotten quite repetitive of late. It's still fine, though.

It seems that this topic has been discussed several times already. Maybe we should have a separate Hipster thread in the Idle Banter.

Well, crap. I think I played the game using mouse and keyboard because I didn't have a gamepad back then. Sorry to mislead you about the PC version actually working fine.
-
Yeah, I really love this part about the CIV games as well. I also suspect it fuels my just-one-more-turn-before-I-quit mentality quite a bit. Hearing the narrator just feels so damn good.

Cool cast! The robot news segment was hilarious. This might be the most bizarre description of what being a hipster means (or entails) that I have encountered so far. Edit: Ok, got the idea. I still don't find Chris' statement any more hipstery than someone mentioning that he was a beta tester for a game.

hmm.. Like I said, I didn't have any problems with it when I played long time ago. Could be because of a patch or because my laptop was a few years younger than the game itself. Anyway, I'd be quite surprised if one ran into those kind of performance issues on a new-ish PC. There was a leaked box art circulating the internet a while back. Apparently the sequel is titled Beyond Good & Evil 2: Human, All-Too-Human with a box quote by some Persian prophet. It was gross.

I don't remember there being anything wrong with the PC version.

It is semi-transparent acrylic, yes.

Haha, thanks! I kinda feel bad now for not bothering to dig up my actual camera and using iPhone instead. Anyway, the vinyl and the Shitty Wizard prints are both awesome!

Cool pitches Blamo! This was waiting for me as I got home from work today. It didn't even get stuck at customs.

I have only read the library editions (the first two volumes actually), so I don't know how they compare with other editions, but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pick these for that purpose. As far as I know, the volumes are arranged in the publication order, the concept art relates to the stories of that specific volume, etc. As for the spinoffs, I have read one volume of Lobster Johnson, Witchfinder, and B.P.R.D. each. I found Lobster Johnson interesting and Witchfinder not so much. I couldn't really get into B.P.R.D.: Hollow Earth, but I think I need to give the series another chance at some point.

Rome and Shogun 2 were my favorites in the series. If I remember correctly, Shogun 2 had a decent tutorial campaign as well, so it shouldn't feel too confusing. I'd say go for it if the Total War games look interesting to you.
