Gravity Rush is fun. Also, Wipeout is a good Wipeout.

Untrue. The Sigma edition came to everything. If I wanted to play it, I could put it on my Vita. I already got Sigma one for free through PS+ for it, but don't really care about Sigma 2.

I bought one thing: a 3DS XL, because I intended to by the end of the year and I was able to get $50 off of one without changing out of my pyjamas. Black Friday success.

Am I the only one who saw this news and immediately thought of presents on balloons in Animal Crossing?

All three of those games are excellent and should be purchased. Also, Rocksmith 2014 is cheap on Steam. That shit is fantastic, if you have the right equipment.

Completely anecdotal thing I noticed that probably means nothing! Yesterday I went into a Best Buy to pick up something my girlfriend had been hinting about for Christmas. I decided to walk through the games section on my way to the "pick up online reserves" counter, and noticed that they were sold out of PS4s but if I wanted to just grab an XBone off the shelf and take it to the register I could totally have done that. Do with this information what you will, internet.

I bought a 3DS XL from Future Shop since they were $50 off for black Friday. I've been wanting an XL for a while, and knew that I was going to be purchasing one soon, so I was holding off on playing LBW (Oh god, now I can't stop seeing Legend Of Zelda: Leg Before Wicket) on my scratched up, horrible-battery life OG 3DS. I've loved that little system, but the time to move on is now! Blue XL is in the mail, accompanied by a copy of LBW. Excited!

Yes. Now you "flike" things.

I got this! In a night of playing I am at the end of World 3! I really like it. Starting it four days after finishing NSMBU, I can't believe how dramatic a difference there is between the two games. This is a great, great experience. A Wii U is becoming worth it if you're even a bit interested in Nintendo exclusives. Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, and now 3D World are a pretty damn good line-up for a system, and they've got Donkey Kong and Mario Kart en route early next year too. Buy that shit!

Shit, Tokyo Jungle! Play that game! One of my favourites of last year.
-
I bought it, Tegan! Honest! I'm just waiting on Amazon to deliver it! I will almost definitely be playing it this weekend, and we can go apeshit over it together. In the mean time, I went back and beat the final world of NSMBU, because I needed my Mario fix. I bought it with my WiiU back in March, but got bored of it. All this Mario talk made me want to finish it, so I did. That game sure does have some moments of brilliance wrapped up in a lot of turd. The brilliance is really good, but holy crap can that game be frustrating. Can't wait for 3D World!

Fuck, I don't even need to watch that to have trauma flashbacks to it.
-
Fuck. I really miss these. Winter break can't come soon enough.

Those are the exact two guys I had in my head when you said "Call of Duty CCG".

Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS

I'm in the endgame of Persona 3 Portable. I've been playing it off an on for about 2 years now. I even transferred the game and save to my Vita from the PSP. It's really worth playing, but also one of the biggest time investments I've ever made in a game. I will be done it in time for the release of these, which excites me! I have also watched the GB Endurance Run, so I'm all up on my story. Plus, I have Golden on my Vita waiting for when I'm done with P3P. As a guy who does not get into JRPGs, I really like these games. -
That also happened to me. A moist q-tip took care of it. You can fix it!

Man, Excitetruck. For a launch game, that shit was incredible. I'll still bust it out every now and then. Thanks for the reminder. I think I may need to do that this weekend now.

Metal Gear Ac!d was my first Metal Gear game. I love it so, so much. That is all.

I love that I have a job where a slow day still involves reading a test where a little girl has interpreted "This is where this animal's prey breeds" as "a great place for this animal to eat babies." Kids are pretty rad.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

Now THAT I understand as a criticism. I definitely didn't read that in the original post though. -
Which elbow/knee would you give up, given the choice?
miffy495 replied to Berzee's topic in Idle Banter
Give up driving stick or give up playing guitar? Shit. I guess I'd drive automatic before I'd stop playing music, so left leg. Kinda makes me realize how much the shit I enjoy depends on four fully functioning limbs though. -
The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
miffy495 replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
I saw Jeff Mangum at a music festival two summers ago. I was sitting around the middle of the field (outdoor park fest). Two songs into the set, he asked that all amplification, as well as the lighting, be turned off. No one beyond the first 5 rows of the audience could hear or see anything. Most disappointing live show I've ever been to. His recordings are great, but seriously, fuck that guy. If you don't want to perform to a crowd, don't tour. I wouldn't hold it against you. It's not like I didn't know the guy had some anxiety issues. If you are touring, don't pull that shit and alienate an entire festival of potential fans. You piss off way more people doing what he did than just saying "I regret I am unable to play tonight". -
Have it. Love it. If we're talking overlooked potential best games of the generation, I'd throw my vote in with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. So fucking good for so many reasons.

The Business Side of Video (Space) Games EXCLUSIVELY ON IDLE THUMBS

If Ninja Theory's amazing games aren't selling well, I wouldn't blame them for that. Enslaved and Devil May Cry are both fucking incredible examples of character action from the last few years. -
...I am in their homes.
