Savage Lovecast is still awesome. I also love the Collings and Herrin podcast, with film critic Andrew Collins and comedian Rich Herring. As It Occurs To Me by Rich Herring was a similarly brilliant short run of live audio sketch show/stand-up podcasts. And I enjoy Rum Doings with RPS' John Walker, although it takes a couple to acquire a taste for his co-caster. I enjoy A Life Well Wasted, but I do wish he'd stop putting on that irritating voice.

The 17 year old is allowed to drink alcohol bought for him, as long as the bartender doesn't catch on.

This suggestion is a bit delayed, but GrouchoClub, you might find it helps to try and swap your compulsive drinking with a more 'useful' compulsion - like an exercise regime (plan a jogging route, buy some weights) or teaching yourself to code, or a new language or something. You might get addicted to those instead, but at least it's easier on your liver!

You guys are fucking crazy. Aliens is a brilliant, scary, exciting, beautiful movie, and the dialogue is fantastic. You'll be telling me you don't like Terminator, next.

Everyone here probably knows this by now, but I do design for Zombie Cow Studios in my spare time, specifically the two adventure games (with upcoming episodes) and Gibbage. I've quit the tv/film industry for the time being and am hoping to get a boring but stable job sorted so I can start making short films too. And don't tell anyone, but:

Does it require you to have a little wicker ball balanced on your head?

I just read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and it was dreadful. Incredibly boring, with a predictable and yet utterly silly solution to the mystery.

Sleepdance and I have written ours, Toblix. Stop making excuses. I'm happy to post mine, if it helps. I'm not sure why we didn't just post our chapters in full in the first place, it seems like the logical way forward.

Was that actor someone special? He looked like he had age make-up on, so I guess he plays his young self elsewhere, or it's an in-joke cameo or something, but I can't figure it out.

Yeah, I was really happy about that! We also got a lot of runner-up stuff in the adventuregamers Aggie Awards, which was cool, especially in a year of big hitters like TMI, Machinarium and Emerald City Confidential. Thanks to anyone who woted!

Back To The Future (as you may have guessed from my avatar's natty life-preserver/denim ensemble).

Sorry for the bump, but I've got three posts in one! Firstly, we came a very close 2nd to Machinarium in the jayisgames readers award. Thanks to everyone who voted! The exposure really helps keep us afloat and motivated. Secondly, get your TGP merchandise here! Thirdly, if you've got a couple of minutes spare, please vote in the adventuregamers awards and choose TGP for anything you think it deserves to win! Thaaanks!

Yeah, I watched it and enjoyed it. If you're in the mood for a Cormac McCarthy adaptation where not much happens but it's full of atmosphere and tension, then you'll be in luck. Amazing acting by Viggo and the kid, too.

Can you tell us what it is once you've decided either way? PS - bagsy my girlfriend and I get to hole up with you two come the zombie apocalypse. You two do the shooting and fighting, we'll cook.

They should remake it with Denzel Washington.

A thread for (EDIT: NON-GAMES) bargains/sales etc. bttf.com (the 'official', reputable and endorsed though not Universal-affiliated, Back To The Future site) is having a 25% Off sale all day tomorrow (Friday, November 27, 2009 between 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Central Time Zone). Go to www.bttf.net for the store page. Ethical caveat: the site is run by a guy who censors the word 'gay' on the forums and gives his status as a "Christian family man" as explanation and justification.(Although he seems fine with *********.)

You know what I'd love in a forum, is the ability to have 5 or 6 (or infinite, whatever) variations on my avatar, which I can choose from per post. So I can have a sad/happy/winking/angry avatar, depending on the mood of my post, and you can see everyone else's changing through the thread as well.
-
Well, hurry up and post it, then I'll post mine, then toblix can check for continuity errors to fix before posting his, then it's Thunderpeel's turn!
-
Did you get past Meat Circus, brkl? We discussed it here and quoted Tim's tips for that level...
-
Nooooo! This is the non-games thread! For games we now have to go to this thread, apparently.
-
Anyone want to volunteer for the next chapter? Toblix?

I'm writing it in English, in the style of Raymond Chandler, but it's set "in the near-future". Sorry, forgot to mention that.
