Yeah, because that's a physics tech demo you get with the game. The actual early access game is also quite limited at the moment - 2 cars and 3 tracks.

Ok, the mystery game is found, it was DarkOut

Weirdly enough, I don't think it's even Edge of Space I'm thinking of (but seems kind of similar). The game had a more of a Capsized or Waking Mars look as I remember. How many of these games are there? It's not Signs of Life either: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=113700247

I found a new accompaniment: Next Car Game Sneak Peek 2.0 from Bugbear. (it's 25$ for early access to the game, though)

The third one is not made by bugbear. Eurogamer gave it 1 out of 10.

This looks a lot like Terraria. Is it by the same devs? I also recently saw a trailer for a game that seemed to be a cross between Terraria and Capsized, but forgot the name. Anyone know that one?

Damn, started playing the DLC and wasted a lot of time on the first mission of Knife of Dunwall. I loaded and saved a lot as I was remembering how this game is played. I only used quicksaves... This makes me so mad I just want to give up on the game, but maybe I'll try again later.

Ok, has Steam Trading evolved to the level where there are bots doing the trading? I just put 3 of the holiday sales cards up to sale for 0.13€ each and they were bought IMMEDIATELY!

It's basically a remake of Flatout 2, which is kind of like a remake of Flatout 1, but UC is the best one. Also, I just discovered bugbear has early access for their next car game at http://nextcargame.com

Yeah, 5 Days was brilliant!

They tweeted about loss of PCs, but not about loss of data, so hopefully they'll be ok. Unless they just didn't want to make everyone sad, but I assume they have off-site backups or actually keep the code and assets in my butt.

Finished. I hope there won't be a sequel, but I'll play it if there will be. Did anyone actually fight and kill the 4th type (the most powerful) of infected? Except that one time you have to, I managed to get around them.
-
Just finished it too! I agree with you about the high points, but I didn't find the bandit shooting to be that bad, especially as it allowed more stealth than when dealing with runners.
-
Hm... should I get Anno 2070? I liked the previous one, but if this is just more of the same with a sci-fi theme, I would rather skip.
-
Hm... I personally thought that was a bit of a cliché.

I'm probably half-way through the game or a bit more. It's really enjoyable most of the time, except when hordes of zombies come running at you. I'm no good at aiming with the PS3 controller, and the clickers are so annoying... start loading a shotgun and no way to fire if you are realoading and have 3/4 bullets in, next second your neck is between the teeth of a clicker. I had to try a sequence 10 times before I got it. Now I upgraded my shotgun as much as I could, maybe next time will go easier. At other times when you have a stealthy option, it can get confusing how the stealth works. Are some of the runners perhaps half-clickers? Seems they can hear almost as well.

Games that are longer than a couple of hours should have a "save and quit" button while showing a chapter title screen. Otherwise you'll see the beginning of the new chapter, it'll look interesting and you'll think "I'll just play a bit more" and the next time you look at the clock you've completed the chapter and now the next one looks interesting too...

Maybe let it flow a bit and perhaps it'll turn normal after a while? That's what happened in my case when I had yellowish water.

What do I need for a Masters in Interactive Design or Game Design?
Erkki replied to Rxanadu's topic in Idle Banter
The rolling into projectiles prototype actually seems like an interesting idea (but also seems impossible at the moment - maybe start with one projectile at a time and then keep adding more? or turn it into a reverse shoot-em-up where your goal is to get hit not to avoid getting hit) Anyway, seems like an idea that could be taken somewhere interesting, why not just take that prototype to it's full realization with your own art and then try to find people to do the art. Jonathan Blow made the entire Braid with programmer art before recruiting an artist.- 12 replies

Also, as vimes also noted, I felt that in this game I definitely might want to go back and make some choices differently, whereas in TWD I pretty soon realized that I only want to play it once and stick with the choices I had made the first time (OK it is possible that I will replay it some day, though, maybe to play it together with someone). In this game making the choices feels much more exploratory and I can't think of better words than what vimes said, although I know nothing of the comics so it's not exactly the existing lore angle that makes me think this way.

I finally cleaned my bathroom sink after staring at it in horror for months.

Just played Episode 1. I loved it! It somehow looks way more impressive than The Walking Dead. And I love the menus, the noirish atmosphere and the patterns and colors in the UI. However, there were some weird things that seemed out of place that others have already mentioned, and mistakes I never noticed in The Walking Dead: (PS I don't know anything about the comics)

Cool story. Makes me want to give the game a try. I tried it a bit when it was still a mod. Is a microphone/headset 100% necessary for this?
