I stopped caring about Soul Calibur after Soul Calibur II on Gamecube. That was still a great game. The first one on Dreamcast was also sweet, just actually played both after a long time during last weekend.

So, anybody else going to get the special retail version of Monkey 1 & 2 that is coming out this week in EUROPE? I have had it on pre-order for a while along with Rage from Amazon.co.uk. I'll get it when Rage comes in October so I have to either shut my eyes from the internet for a month so that the special extras won't be "spoiled" in for example upcoming Mojo review of the product.

I approve this comment. And like I wrote earlier, I had no problems with Doug Lee's voice acting as I thought he fit the role perfectly. At least he was better than the other guys in Emperor's Tomb and Staff of Kings they made after Infernal Machine.

Yes and the "scary" voice was changed when Obi-wan appears for the first time and comes to save Luke, C3PO and R2D2. God damn Lucas, he will never stop. At least last time he released the original trilogy separately he somehow approved to put the original movies as "bonus content". Ok it's just a basic quality print, no anamorphic widescreen or other nice things, but at least I have the movies like those should be. I didn't throw the "special edition" discs away yet, but I will. I just forgot, but now that I remember I will throw those to trash and just keep the originals.

Shame to hear that, and also Rodi's comments. I was expecting it to be a lot better. It's been a long time since Harrison Ford did anything worth to watch so I had my hopes up. I will most likely still go watch it as soon as it arrives here just see for myself. Oh and it is coming this weeks Friday apparently to Finland. I totally understand Rodi's take on this. The concept of aliens building spaceships to travel to other sides of galaxies and still be just monsters is a stupid idea. They should be higher beings with more intelligence than humans.

I wonder what in the world are they going to announce in the 3DS conference in a little over a week from now. It can't be anything hardware related, that doesn't make any sense so I refuse to believe the rumours. Maybe some big games announcements, Dragon Quest etc.?

Maybe Gabe added some secret Half Life Episode 3 ARG stuff in the game, and Ben & Dan don't know about it yet.

Flame Red 3DS is coming to Australia on 22nd September, does that mean it's coming out in three weeks in Europe also? NoE I demand an answer to this question! Because hell yeah I will buy that for 150€ if it comes out now here also. Australia is PAL area so why not? US gets it 9th September so Europe is now the only one left out, like always.

Yes, that doesn't really qualify as Escape from Butcher Bay was not a movie, it was from point zero to completion a game project. A really exceptionally good one as Vin Diesel himself was so much invested in the project since the beginning. And you are correct, it is truly a fantastic game. Amazing achievement from pretty much unknown studio Starbreeze at that point.

I want to play all Lucasarts adventure games chronologically in order from Maniac Mansion to Grim Fandango. It has been quite some time since last playthrough of each. Last Crusade as a game is really great, and very likely is the best movie game ever made, is it actually the only good movie game ever made?

How much do apartments cost in Estonia? In here the prices just keep on rising. I find it funny how cheap some apartments were just some years ago. One area in my town used to have big apartments for 50000€ or less. These days the prices in that area are around 90000€. One guy in my football team sold one with exactly those prices so he netted quite a lot of profit. It was the worst neighborhood around here, but would've been a good situation to do some nice business.

Yes, Venice in Italy. I went there by train from Trieste. My bar was set really high, maybe too high. Many places felt too much like tourist traps. Points that may have affected my views. A) Way too many tourists and booths selling tourist crap. Bad weather. C) Many walkways seemed closed so I couldn't go adventuring where I wanted to. D) I was accompanied by a group of factory workers from my company that got drunk during the Venice trip and spoiled my mood completely. Not exactly the best starting point for a great trip to Venice, eh? So that polluted my views of seeing Venice as anything I had imagined it. I actually didn't really want to go there with those guys as I had always imagined Venice to be a romantic old place and I didn't want to see it with wrong people. I did however see some nice places there, one of the walking bridges over one of the biggest canals was awesome. Also when I found the "central area" where the cathedral is, that cathedral was just mesmerizing when I saw it after all the disappointments. It might be that I was stuck for too long in the wrong places there. I am planning to someday go back to Italy, with better company and by that I mean my wife. Maybe Venice will then show it's true colors, but I really wanted the first time to be that magical one.

On that note I visited Venice in 2009 and it looked like nothing I had been promised by people and countless movies like Last Crusade. I felt cheated.

I have watched all the episodes of this season 6 which has been running now for two seasons time in real time. I never really got why the show stopped around Christmas last year in the US and then suddenly started again this summer. Why did they want to split the season? In my opinion the first 13 episodes last year were continuing the trend of the quite bad dvd movies, there were many not that good episodes and I felt like they were just trying out new things because of the move from Fox to Comedy Central gave them more freedom I guess. However the run that started this summer has been very good. Especially the past few episodes were awesome. I should watch the whole season again after all have aired. I checked now the Wikipedia is god page of Futurama and it says that these last 13 episodes are aired in a messed up order instead of showing everything in production order? Just four out of the five last episodes will air in order.

Hmm, there was a mention of a date only in the Eurogamer article I read. The next batch of discount games will be unveiled 7th September, and that same day this first batch of discounts end.

Burn, burn, burn. Interesting way to start your workday with fire alarms ringing so loud that my ears are still ringing. Fire department came fully geared up, and we all had to stand outside in the rain for 30 minutes. The building is still here and we are back to work so at least the building didn't burn down. There's a construction work going on downstairs and those guys probably did something to cause all this fun. Most likely smoked some weed or something like that. EDIT: And surprisingly the same weedheads did it twice in the same day. Alarms rang again.
