Not exactly regarding PS4, but does anyone at Thumbs forums have any idea why in the world has Sony never fixed PS3's friend list? It seems really utterly stupid that PS3 friend list only shows PS3 users online, but not Vita or PS4 users, then on PS4 or PS Vita (and the mobile app), you can see all PS platforms users if they are online or not. They have had years to fix this error, but they've done nothing?

That was quite a huge surprise, a really positive one indeed. Tim will be keeping himself superbusy with DoTT special edition, Full Throttle remastered, Psychonauts 2 etc. Shame they didn't fix all the bugs still existing in Grim Fandango remastered, especially the PS Vita version. I've seen only one picture of this Full Throttle project, the one from Maureen's garage. Is that the only pic so far? Would be amazing if they could dig up the content they had to cut originally from the game. I hope for the commentary track they get as many original team members in as possible. I'd like to hear Larry Ahern and Peter Chan say their memories about the game and it's development.

Edit: double post, damn...

Got the survey three weeks ago. Had to choose Sony's crossbuy, though I would've wanted Wii U & 3DS crossbuy the most, but they were offering those only separately...

When I woke up today, the first thing flashing in my phone was a message from a friend writing about Iwata's death. What a sad way to start the week. One of the brightest and funniest gaming industry icons has passed away. A truly great leader of the company, who even twice took down his own salary just so that Nintendo would not need to let go workers in the dark times when profits were low and financial losses hit the company. Iwata's quote from GDC years ago: Just read this in GAF, what a truly remarkable person Iwata was:

I bought it earlier on Wii U when it was released and it really is great. I'm quite a lot waiting for the next episodes of that game.

Why was The Devil's Third not shown at all in E3? Really weird to me still. Nintendo of Japan at least released last week a long video with Tomonobu Itakagi talking about the game. Release date in Japan already 4th August.

I went today for the first time through the NWC2015 highlights. Man, those Super Mario Maker levels were insane. It looks to be one of those games that I think would be fun to own and create all kinds of insane levels, but then when I would get it I notice I have no imagination and that my levels would end up looking like turds that nobody would want to play.

I have a better feeling about Starfox and the Metroid Prime spinoff since I learned that Platinumgames is the one making Starfox and Next Level Games is behind the Metroid Prime 3DS online game. E: Forgot to write that Fast Racing Neo looks exactly as I had dreamed and hoped for. First day perch for sure. Shinen always makes such beautiful looking games, but this time the gameplay looks to be there also. The Wipeout of this generation. The Treehouse video of Fast Racing Neo was just perfect for me, fun to finally see some gameplay.

I wasn't even expecting anything about Zelda U in E3 since they openly said earlier already that they will not talk about it in E3. The only thing about it that worries me that it's not coming out this year like originally promised and I hope they are not moving it just to the NX platform.

Yes, it looks like it's some sort of online test game rather than a really full blown Metroid action adventure game. Not really much of it was shown in the event so can't really make up my mind what to think about it.

I've been trying to watch the Women's world cup, but since the matches are played in the middle of the night in EEST time zone, I haven't managed to watch any. Cool to see that reigning champion Japan went through their group, now the actual tough matches begin. Hilarious to see that it looks that Sweden's team did not make it out of the group stage. Finland really has sucked in the European qualifications on men's side. We are worse than Faroe Islands at the moment! So finally our crap coach got fired and now the position is open for all national and international applicants and a new coach will be appointed in August. Hopefully it will be some guy who knows how to organize defence and find some guys to score also goals. It was nice to see also Kimmo Timonen finally won a Stanley Cup, now the 40 year old veteran can quit his career on the top.

My friend recommended the short first season of Rick&Morty to me after I saw the characters in The Simpsons opening sequence so I watched it about a month ago. Was quite fun! I loved the Mr. Meeseeks episode especially. Cool to read that the second season is starting this summer apparently, I will definitely watch that. Now after the cartoon interest has risen again, I started looking at other stuff that is apparently famous these days. So I earmarked shows like Archer, Robot Chicken and Adventure Time. Are the other quite new shows that are said to be good? I am almost finished with Archer's first season and I can't make up my mind is it good or not. It's at least way worse than Rick&Morty.

The Simpsons Rick&Morty opening sequence was the first I had heard about the show at all. The Simpsons has been creatively dead for years and years already, but for some reason I have watched all the episodes from the past few seasons and skipped mostly like 10 seasons before those and have just watched some random ones from tv channels. There were some alright ones in the middle, but mostly it's the same as it has been for many years already.

New Metroid Prime came, but for 3DS and not Wii U.

The Nintendo presentation was a bit weird. I saw it last night after finding the Youtube recording that was released after the Digital Event. Great to finally see Star Fox Zero and it was looking great. Otherwise the focus on mostly 3DS getting some slightly interesting online experiment games like the Metroid game that seems to have two Metroid online games in it. Also Animal Crossing was there for Wii U as was expected, but it didn't look like a real Animal Crossing game, more like a board game put in Animal Crossing video game format, plus amiibo support. Skylanders I've never cared about, but that's something for the kids then. There was no big boom this year like previous years in Nintendo's presentation. Good that we got Xenoblade Chronicles X release date, but shame that it is in December and not earlier. Hopefully the same date is then for Europe and Americas. Really strange and a huge shame was that there was absolutely nothing about The Devil's Third aka the Tomonobu Itakagi game, also no release date for Fatal Frame 5. Both of those games should've especially have had a big presence in Nintendo's E3 in my opinion. All in all I am a bit disappointed at this E3 in general, a lot of hot air from all around, but nothing really mind blowing except seeing Tacoma & Steve Gaynor and Firewatch on the big stage.

Funny that the jacket and the dinner pledges went immediately. Would be maybe fun to be filthy rich and pour money in to stuff like that so casually.

Well Shenmue was happening in 1986 so...

Also there used to be this thread from like 10 years ago with the appropriate title already, but those old threads are locked so I suppose renaming this new one would be easier.

I did not want to buy anything. But damn it, 35 euros wasted again on games I will have no time to ever play. Wolfenstein Old Blood, Alien Isolation, Half minute Hero 2 and Redux: Dark Matters off to the eternal backlog. Thanks Gaben.

Today's the day. This is the day of the return of Starfox. But since Ninty already came out during the weekend already with the great NWC2015, a new online scifi football game for 3DS and Earthbound Beginnings unveiling along with Smash Bros stuff, today I hope for something completely else also. I still crave for a new F-Zero game.

Someone needs to reopen this thread now, or *kickstart* a new one. https://www.idlethumbs.net/forums/topic/3092-shenmue-3/ Holy shit I really can't believe what I saw today morning. It definitely was worth it to wake up at 3:30 without an alarm clock. My body was ready, but my mind definitely wasn't. The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, Horizon something, Firewatch and No Man's Sky. That was an amazing E3 event. All the rest in the event was just filler crap for me. MS had Tacoma, Cuphead, Rare collection and the backwards compatibility, all else there was filler for me. Now Nintendo, top Sony's one and my mind will be completely blown.

E3 video in Sony event was really cool, but I wanted Jake/Sean/Chris on stage like Hot Scoops was in the Microsoft event! -
Hot Scoops live on stage has been the highlight of my E3 so far.
