Pathfinder: The Low Moon Guild
Vulpes Absurda replied to Smart Jason's topic in Multiplayer Networking
My only complaint (calling it that feels a bit harsh though) is that we just aren't getting much XP. It's been like 3 sessions and I'm a little over halfway to level 2. I'm not really sure there's a great fix for that but I thought I would put it out there. Oh and how much do we want to find other people to join up? I can tweet seeing if anyone who I know on Twitter wants to maybe join, or I can reach out on another forum to see if anyone there wants to play. Or if we want to give Idle Thumbs people time to show up.- 53 replies

Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS

Last I checked they never canceled the PS3 version. According to every source I can find it's still coming out on PS3. -

And here I was worried I wouldn't get to see a teenager in a bikini. And should we take bets on which member of the female cast will be unable to cook to a hilarious degree? I'm sure I'm going to really enjoy this game on the whole but it gets harder and harder to get excited about JRPGs the older I get. -
Hex: Shards of Fate: a lot like Magic: The Gathering
Vulpes Absurda replied to Ninety-Three's topic in Video Gaming
It may well be the best pure card game out at the moment. Granted I rather dislike Blizzard's house style so I never got that far into Hearthstone. -
I got a 64 gig to work in my N3DSXLLMME. I think you just have to reformat the sd card to FAT32. It's been a while since I did it though.

What I played of this was pretty good but honestly without an android port I don't think I'm going to put much time in just now. And I think I might prefer Duelyst's more tactical gameplay. I'm also not hugh on the sheer amount of cultural appropriation on display with the coyotle. It's in really poor taste to be honest. -

There is a healing focused archetype for the witch if you want to focus on that: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/witch/archetypes/paizo---witch-archetypes/hedge-witch You can play whatever you like of course. But it's there if you want it.- 53 replies

Well the whole thing about super heroes being oppressed and Dash wanting to play sports but he's just too good so we can't let him do that! is like, very much out of the Ayn Rand playbook. The closest it comes to subverting that is with the insurance agency taking the place of big government but honestly that's hardly a daring move there, and a lot of it still play into libertarian views of how the government works. It feels like the only reason that it isn't the government is that someone at Pixar didn't want to get too political. And I recall there being more but honestly it's not something I want to spend brain space on, and most of the articles I can find on the subject are from places like reason magazine.

Dark Souls 3 {Dark souls 2 successor [Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)]} (Bloodborne's something)
Vulpes Absurda replied to kaputt's topic in Video Gaming
It has not but there are ways around them. I would say it's an okay PC port if you have the hardware for it. -
I had to use it to add music to my phone. Maybe there was a way around it.

I have a Moto x Pure and I'm pretty okay with it. I would have preferred something the size of the iPhone 4S I was upgrading from but iTunes can die in a fire so I'm not going back.

Durante of DSFix fame reviewed the PC port and seemed to be pretty happy with it. He notes that it's weirdly CPU bound and that lowering the setting doesn't really do a whole lot to less the load on CPU or GPU. But that most recent PCs should be fine at 1080 as long as you're okay with 30 FPS, and most will handle 60 for the most part. -
Did you ever wish Left 4 Dead had five distinct character classes, a loot system, and not zombies? Well do I have the game for you! (If anyone can tell me how to embed video that would be great) Everything I've seen of it makes it look like the Left 4 Dead follow up I've wanted since I got bored of L4D 2 so I thought I'd pick it up. Anyone want to join me? Or you can just makes jokes about the movie Willard. That's fine too.

Reviews are out: This game is so good I preordered the deluxe PC version. The only thing that holds it back is that it's the fifth game in the series in almost as many years and even the greatest formulas wear thin after awhile. Just ask the antibiotics industry. The Jim Sterling and PC Gamer reviews more or less sum up my thoughts. -

For the hell of it I went and made a custom race based on what I was going for in character creations last week. We don't have to use it as I just did it for fun but I thought I'd post it here for people to look over and maybe give feedback on should you feel like it: Still missing a few details and could use some more clarity, and I might change the name to something that does not imply they spend time going door to door telling people the good news but for now I'm happy with it on the whole. -

Okay so I was going to wirte up my overall thoughts on the game today but they just updated the English version to have to day one patch minus the multiplayer so I'll hold off on that. I will say my previous issue is only really an issue when you miss a couple branching paths. -
My thought on the guilt of not playing/reading/whatever is that if I look back in my life and regret the mediaci didn't experience enough for it to matter then I probably lived a pretty good life regardless. Not that I don't get stressed out about sometimes. It's just that pondering my own crashing mortality helps me deal with it.
