I'm 100% sure I chose some goofy nickname at the start of my career, but everyone in the game will only call me Freq. I wish there was a way to change that after starting it. (I'm still playing as well, but I'm a maniac that plays all games with 12-min quarters, so I'm still halfway through my second season, that is actually my first full one)

I struggle to think of Clinton as actually giving a damn about what's going on in the rest of the world, other than when it interferes with American interests. Her ideas of "sending the army and blowing shit up" seem to come from the same place as they have from other presidents in the past: keeping the military industry busy, establishing governments that are sympathetic to US companies and so on. If anything, it's the ultimate self-involved attitude, where they're willing to actively change the lives of millions (to the worse, in general) so that American companies can reap profits.

Dan is that guy you hang out with, end up being "friends" with and finding his shenanigans funny, then one day you realize you actually hate him and there's nothing funny about anything he does and that he's inadvertently a bad person. There's still a whole lot of things he does that are actually funny and I respect his evident desire to become a better person, but he's still oblivious to how shitty he can be.

It's getting boring already because every week I say the same thing, but Project BEAST is the best thing on the internet right now.

This week had skate 4 comments and Superman villains, both brilliant bits from Jeff. It was a good week.

This is an episode that only works as setup for the next ones. It is the straight man for the goofiness to ensue, without which the goofy shit wouldn't be as good as it is going to be. (it is going to take forever for them to work it out, and it's going to be so incredibly rewarding when they do.)

That was a journey. Jesus Christ. The last 15 minutes of that mission were the most nail-biting thing I've watched in a while. Also, I love the direction they're taking the series to. Project BEAST is the best thing they've come up with since forever.

I had no idea about the "What it is" videos. My guess is also that's it's just a QL with a funny name this time. (also, the "Best of Giant Bomb" series is now finally official! I hope the guy who makes those will now be paid for his efforts.)

Apparently Firewatch is getting a "What it is" instead of a "Quick Look". This has gone too far.

21h in and I just found the greenhouse. It just never occurred to me to wander to that corner of the island before. I've got more than enough to go to the final area right now, I think, but the puzzle to open it is driving me mad. I've got 2/3 of the solution down but the last one is infuriating (and it's not even the kind of puzzle you can think about when you're not playing). Other than that, there is one very specific puzzle that has been bothering me forever and it still doesn't make sense to me, even if I think I understand all the puzzle mechanics in the game.

I had a weird experience at the monastery (spoilers of course).

hahah, just found that an hour ago or so. Definitely wasn't expecting to see it. And I'm finally starting to understand so progress is definitely being made.

Almost 6h in and I haven't managed to figure that one out yet. Also, any idea what the +X number on the savefiles mean? Is it spoilery?

I got to those, solved the first one relatively easily, got to the second and went NOPE, that thing had concepts that I hadn't seen until then. Maybe I should go back and explore the areas close to the start, I guess.
