    Hmm, I think I could just run an electric guitar pre-amped into a line-in then. Unless the cable is doing secondary processing or filtering but I think that's all on the software side.

    Yah seriously. How is having a dozen threads better than 1 that gets updated whenever it becomes relevant again. Does this come from a time where having a higher number of threads is a positive metric for some reason?

    Is there a way you can skip getting their cable? I know how to play guitar but I'd like to teach my roommate and thought this might be a good move, and consequently I have a way to properly record guitar.

    Currently messing around with UE4 and love it. I come from a formal CS background so being able to glance at all the code is a godsend. The only thing I hate is it's rough on my old MBP so my typical coffee shop dev is off-kilter.
