  1. This might just be an issue of it being my second souls game, but DS2 seemed pretty easy to me. There's so many ways to go, that if a boss is any trouble you can swap to a different path and return later. The start seemed harder when I was getting to grips with a new system, and low on estus (also accidentally joined the covenant of champions). But quite quickly it became as natural as my second run through DS1. Though I've also never used poise in DS1, so maybe I benefited from the balance changes being purely beneficial.
  2. [Dev Log] The Bear's Black Heart

I'm actually just a Dublin visitor at the moment, living in Kilkenny. There's a few of us around tho. That Joe Duffy soundboard would be a great resource for a Joe Duffy visual novel saying game.
  3. [Dev Log] The Bear's Black Heart

Plus, Joe Duffy as DLC down the line would be a top seller.
  4. [Dev Log] The Bear's Black Heart

Oh wow, Bosco and Dot Gobbler is not a character combo I expected!
  5. Just saw the climactic O&S defeat, congrats Nick! It's a shame he didn't
  6. Godspeed, Wizard Jammers!

Ah that's great to hear, I remember Nasty/Good/Badass and it was a lot of fun Glad to hear it led you into new opportunities, and good luck with it!
  7. Also am I wrong or should Nick upgrade his armor a bunch? He has spare titanite and upgrading armor improves it without increasing weight. For the most part I haven't seen him upgrade any (besides the boar helmet), and he seems to take more damage than I'd expect.
  8. [released] Avocado Smash

I am so dang glad I suggested the box art diversifier, this is (all) great!
  9. I look forward to Nick fighting Manus, because the only time I did that boss I had no trouble. So I want to see why it's considered such a hard fight. Though Nick has gotten really good at DS, so maybe he'll bust him anyway.
  10. [Dev Log] The Bear's Black Heart

Stylewise, do you want them to be normal enough things a bear could find in the woods, eg. a badger in a hole, or silly things too, like a vaping rig for example?
  11. [Released] Most Memorable Maid

This looks great! Good luck with the next few days.
  12. Thanks for your answers xchen, I have a follow up question about your response regarding Trump's rhetoric. In particular, how he talks about minorities. You're not concerned because you don't think he believes it, but do you feel like it does any damage? Such as emboldening people who believe it's true or undermining the position of these minority groups in American society?
  13. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

If it helps, the ending has nothing revelatory. There is an ending of sorts, but it doesn't give any additional context if you hadn't been enjoying it up to there. I think Dear Esther laid some foundation for further walking sim games but I don't put much stock in it.
  14. [RELEASE] Mr. Puffin in The Dark Castle

    That great hall looks great!
  15. Fantasy Finale XV

I remain hopeful for a PC release, since the game seems to be positively received.
  16. Idle Thumbs Interference ARG?!

    Interesting freudian slip.
  17. Out of curiosity Athis, what do you identify as politically?
  18. [v2 - The Dab Update] The Eyes of Cheatin Hitman

    I love that clown's swagger.
  19. [Participation Agreement] The Clone Progenitors

My post history is up for grabs, really like this idea!
  20. [Release] wrong thread - a detective game

I have a video put together of the game's opening now! Arthur has some portraits of the main character and I put them into the character creation opening. It shows the basic way that Fungus, the interactive fiction engine I'm using works. As well as some of my hacky stuff and nonsense about dice that have -1s on them. Now to write a ton of Content TM
  21. [RELEASE] Batman Loves Him A Parallelogram

There was a book bundle recently that had a couple Pico8 zines in it with tutorials and explanations of how stuff worked. If you want I could send those on to you? I haven't given them much of a look yet, as I'm working in Unity, but they might help.
  22. [Dev Log] Real Slyboots

This is great, I like that you're highlighting that you're searching for the real slyboots.
  23. this planet coaster soundtrack is so good tho

Woah really? Damn, maybe that's why it's so good.
  24. Android Games

Aye I have a chunky phone, so it might be worth thinking about. Cheers! (I'd emulate, particularly cause I already bought it on PSP ages back but I hate the touch button controller layout things)
  25. Android Games

Were you playing on tablet or phone @Vulpes Absurda? I could imagine it get s a bit cramped on a phone screen.
