It looks like he'll do a staff layoff, and has already announced that he's going to let everyone vote. I'm interested to see if Sanders & Clinton make nice for the general election or if Sanders does a pure anti-Trump skew to his efforts.

Persona 5 - 2015 the year of the PS3 / Persona Q - 3DS
jennegatron replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
I played most of it. i think it's worth picking up for the discounted price, as it's got an interesting combat system and some fun light puzzle solving. It's pretty light on story, just as a heads up. it's still pretty fun though. -
I bought Disney Art Academy because I played Pokemon Art Academy and loved it. I've been tweeting my progress through it: https://twitter.com/jennegatron/status/738591978674225152

Also Crossfit can be extremely dangerous and people hurt themselves very badly by taking classes from people who don't know what they're doing. Because crossfit exploded in popularity the last few years gyms have popped up, run by people who don't really know what they're doing, and it's fairly expensive membership/physical regime to maintain. Add that to the evangelistic preaching of it's participants and you aren't going to make many friends.

I read the books as they were coming out. I mostly checked them out from the library for the second, third, & fourth books. I think I read the second one via book on tape and the fourth one from a school library copy because it's the only way I could get them at all, 'cause the hold lists were so long and had no allowance to buy the books myself. I eventually got copies of my own of all of them. I think I got Sorcerer's Stone as a birthday present for my 8th birthday in 1999. The first movie is the first movie adaptation I ever saw of something I read first and I hated it because it wasn't what I had built in my head and it was a weird lesson to learn as a 10 year old. I don't know that I've ever read a book more times than I read Prisoner of Azkaban. I am looking forward to revisiting the series. I haven't touched it since the 7th book came out the summer before my junior year of high school. I've ordered the first book in German to see if I can make my way through it.

Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready
jennegatron replied to SuperBiasedMan's topic in Idle Banter
here was my packed lunch from a month ago. it's a pain the butt to attach pictures from my phone to the forums so I kept forgetting to do it. I took a pita round, cut it in half, stuffed it with lunch meat (roast turkey), lettuce, crumbled bacon, & shredded cheese. The grocery store has a precut berry mix and a fruit dip that is just cream cheese, whipped cream & sugar mixed together and took that, and I had a tillamook greek yogurt. We eat a lot of sausages normally, so I haven't really added pictures. I think I'm going to try and get Cory to make pigs in a blanket for the sausage assignment :3 -
We moved from OK to CA and here's what we did. We loaded up the car with suitcases, packed all of our belongings into a U-pack. They drove our furniture and shit for us. If you're doing the move alone, I would fly. If you have a partner in the road trip experience, I would highly recommend it, especially if you have a car you need to move anyway.

Dium, if you end up not getting it, I already got the mew code earlier this year and am not eligible to redeem the next one. I'll send it over to you if you end up missing it. Also, Manaphy is up on mystery gift now. Don't forget to get it!!!
-
So the newsletter for mew doesn't get sent out today, it's just that the deadline is much earlier than the newsletter goes out. If you made a trainer club account, you have to dig through menus to opt in to the newsletter.

The first movie is a bloated 2 1/2 - 3 hours that really drags starting at ~Christmas and continues until the very end. I will likely never watch the non-wizard people movie again. I think Brad Neely is a comedic genius.

I think I was referring to Are You The One, as it was the only one whose premise intrigued me. That show is fucking amazing.

The most freeing thing was shedding shows I had grown out of or had diverged from what I liked them for, and then only listening to episodes of interview shows for which I'm interested in the person. Like I adored your ep of checkpoints with Jeff Green Declan, or the episode of Designer notes with Nina Freeman. Here's my current rotation: Monday - Gilmore Guys & MBMBAM Tuesday - Rose Buddies & catching up on backlog or interview show episodes Wednesday - Gilmore Guys & Idle Thumbs (if it drops on Wednesday afternoon) Thursday - This one is weird, a new adventure zone if it's the right week or serial of it it's in season, if only one or neither happen, this is another backlog or interview shows day, or Idle Thumbs if it slid to Thursday. Adventure Zone is always my first priority Friday - Pop Culture Happy Hour & CoolGames Inc Interview Shows & Shows I let backlog accumulate for: Another Round Giant Beastcast Judge John Hodgman Roderick On the Line Playscape LA Checkpoints Baby Geniuses Designer Notes Quality Control Gilmore Guys has an expiration date on it, and that will free up 2 slots a week, and I assume something(s) off the backlog list will take its spot(s) eventually, but I'm always finding new shows I want to try. Like Merritt Kopas's Woodland Secrets.
-
Yeah, I know. It doesn't really matter because there's bound to be a new show that catches my eye that I want to try.
-
I have at least 2 hours of commute time each work day and that's when I listen. I find it hard to add more shows, even ones I know I like because some of my rotation has episodes that balloon to 2 or 3 hours for a single episode. I am trying to figure out where the giant beastcast can fit in as well as another round and playscape la.

Idle Weekend May 20, 2016: History Doomed to Repeat Itself
jennegatron replied to Chris's topic in Idle Weekend Episodes
If it's any comfort I have only seen avengers 1 & guardians and loved Civil War. For Civil War, I think all you really need is to know who Bucky is. They do actually a really good job of catching you up very quickly. -
Pokemon Moon (beautiful) and Sun (more beautiful)

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said that they've made a lot of those systems less opaque and exposed them to the player. There's a EV training minigame that doesn't even require you to battle in X/Y, plus a goofy little 'tap the screen' interface that lets you EV train your pokemon in your party as well, and if you have a team that you want to EV train identically, you can turn exp share on and give them all the EVs you earn all at once. -

They've done more and more to make the EV and IV systems less opaque over the generations. Most of the challenges that exist are fan created, like nuzlocke or a living dex. I would like to see something from game freak in the middle. I have been a fan for ~20 years now. I'm okay with them staying as baby games with no middle, but it's something I would definitely enjoy if they do it. -

Right, you don't like it, you love it. In seriousness though it took me like 19 years to dig into the deeper stuff. I understand though Fingus. That stuff isn't exposed and intimidating and not even really available until halfway through a playthrough or more. I love the collecting, so that carries me through until the breeding is available. -

fingus, when you say you don't really like pokemon it's because you mean that you really really really love pokemon right? RIGHT???? -
