I think this is fair, it's just been on my mind, and something that kind of indirectly keeps creeping up on me. On a positive note, we have a few players in Canadian politics presently making the argument for mandatory minimum income, and they are pitching it from the perspective of being a replacement for present social programs, which is a great way to pitch it. Anytime I hear about it though, I think it's the kind of program we could institute now that future proofs society down the road. On a negative note, a few week ago I got in a bit of an argument with my coworkers, because they were making the point that to exist in society you have to be an economic contributor. That argument to me just reads as a symptom of the inherent conservatism people hold that is going to end up hurting society down the road. Kind of the same nobody is talking about it problem you described above.

I think I'm at the point where I'm so worried about this I'm going to figure out how I can send my hard earned dollars to mincome lobbying groups. Here's the informative video that caused my crisis.

it has proven three lefts.

I feel like the best professors I had would do a few key things. Tell me what we are going to learn, tell me how we are going to do it, and finally, give me room and encouragement to engage with the course material beyond what was outlined in the first 2 points.

A friend of mine worked his way up to being a manager at a fancy pizza restaurant. The servers there are very happy to have the job they do. The restaurant as an institution does a lot to make this happen though. All tips are pooled and distributed to all the staff. The main benefit being it provides a buffer to stop any one server getting stiffed and having a bad night. Being in service means dealing with people, but I think like what Bjorn was getting at, if you pre-suppose the interaction is going to be shitty, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Choir of Angels is incredible. Trying get interesting orbits is very engaging. Champ Thinks of Nums I really like all the hip hop stings. Bad Castle is an excellent piece of interactive pixel art.

My girlfriend is finishing up an animation degree. There's a bit of everything. The renderer she uses is called Arnold. Thanks for your response, it definitely contextualizes the problem better.

I just need to throw a general request for help out there. My girlfriend needs a new video card to boost up Maya's performance. Maya's website contains a very short list of what are real top end cards that they say will work for sure, and they are all very high end. I'm hoping to get a better idea of what level of card I need to get Maya running buttery, so if you have any experience on the matter I'd be happy to hear it.

My girlfriend has been having a lot of computer troubles this week, leading to several late nights of us solving them. I related Chris's computer story to her, and I think his struggles with computer goop made her feel much better about the troubles she was having. Thanks for telling that story Chris, I enjoyed this episode a bunch!
