I can't really see the point of VR in anything other than FPS games.

I'm kinda shocked that NMS hasn't been officially said to be part of the PSVR launch line up. Or even in VR at all. It seems like the perfect title for it. I'd sure wait for PSVR to launch and grab them both if that was indeed the case.

Oh yeah, I know. In an awesome turn of events, I found a kind of children's play area deep in some woods I was running through. I have no idea why it's there, it's isolated and no one is every around. It's enough for me to do pull ups and dips, two exercises I really enjoy. So I've been running out there, doing a bunch of pull ups and running back. Very enjoyable. I tend to like exercise that is harsh on my body! The only thing is I still have the back injury which becomes aggravated at times. I've been doing as the physio told me, but he said it could take up to 2 months to fully heal. There's a gym at the university, however it's tiny and I can't get in early enough for it to be empty. I've also been considering buying a bike. I used to cycle everywhere in the UK, but having a bike here in Germany seems like another thing I have to lug around with me when I move flats. I'm also counting calories, I've been tracking 2,200 every day and it's been going really well, I've already lost a few kgs and already look different after 2 weeks of continual tracking. 2,200 is enough that I don't feel hungry, but I feel that if I go below that I start to get really snack-y.

I really liked Titanfall too. The core gameplay was just awesome. It didn't have legs though, the player base on PC disappeared pretty rapidly, couple that with the paid maps splintering the user base (I didn't pay for any maps), I eventually found myself waiting 10+ minutes for a match, so inevitably I just stopped playing. I'd also much rather have this on consoles. So I can say with 90% certainty that I'll grab this when it drops falls.

I'm glad someone else liked Apotheon. It's not an amazing game, but it is weirdly fun. The combat is absolutely hilarious - sending people flying across the screen so incredibly satisfying. The way enemies crumple when you kill them is also just great. I "finished" Invisible Inc. I was shocked at how short the beginner campaign was, but it was crazy fun. I'm having a hard time trying to play experienced, mainly because of a lack of narrative. It's still really fun though, and I'll hopefully play through the campaign again a couple more times. I think I've had my fill of rogue-likes for now though, having played like 3 intently for a few months. I am just looking for an engaging narrative, hence why The Banner Saga really pulled me in.

I barely keep in contact with my college friends. Weirdly enough I couldn't fit in during university, which is where most people find they actually do fit in. There were too many people who just wanted to get drunk all the time, and then there were too many people who just wanted to study all the time. I was somewhere in the middle, and found myself without many people to hang out with. I still keep in contact with a couple of school friends. Not often, but it's never weird when we do catch up. I kinda find it hard to make friends because I tend to reject going out and drinking (which seems to be what people want to do). Then after a while they just stop inviting me. I'm making a conscious effort at my new job to just say yes to everything. If I hate it I don't have to do again!

So...this game is pretty good guys. I don't think there's been a Klei game I don't enjoy. They seem to be able to do stealth really well!

I wish I had the enthusiasm some show when they upgrade their phone. I went from a POS brick to an iPhone 4, and it was like a revolution, well it was a revolution. Since then, any new phone I get is just like...meh. It's just maintenance of the same technology with a few minor adjustments. If my 4's battery didn't cop out, I would never have changed it.

Cool, I'll probably end up getting it when it goes on sale. I have Invisible inc. to play now, which I've been excited about for a while!

I need to find a gym, I've not been to one in like 3 months thanks to the hassle of moving and not finding a stable place to live. Last thing I want is to commit myself to a 12 month contract at somewhere shit, only to find that after 3 months I've moved and found somewhere closer, better and cheaper. I'm trying to run (and count calories) but man, I fucking hate running. It's so damn tedious, and I'm really not built for it.

I hate house hunting and living in shared apartments. I want a massive fuck-off TV to play games on. Can't do that when you're essentially a guest in someone's house.

I finished The Banner Saga. I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was really impressed. The narrative was just lovely, the turn based strategy was fun with a decent amount of depth and the art style was just sublime. I beat it in two days I was so engrossed. I really wish I hadn't waited so long to play it. Conflicted about how it ends though:

Congrats on losing and finding a job so fast. My contribution to this thread is how I hate that my phone's battery doesn't even survive a day of light usage any more. I miss the old days when I charged my nokia 3310 once a week on Sunday night.

I guess this is 99% of my problem. I have literally no idea what an index fund is, or how to invest in it. Nor do I know what a 401K is. I don't even know if they're solely american things. The worst part is reading about it all. It's so tedious, there are so many rules and exceptions. Bleh.

I want to take control of my money, but I have no idea what to do. I spent about an hour today reading about ISAs cash/stocks and shares, but it's so complicated and so boring. Leaving my money in an account with basically no interest is pretty much just losing money for me. I wish there was something or someone who could just say "This account is what you want and this is why. Do it."

I'm struggling to find a game that will hold my attention at the moment. I don't know whether it's just I've played my favourites too much, and new stuff isn't interesting, or whether I need to take a few months break from games.

Sausage and Egg McMuffin is just great. Their coffee isn't...terrible either. It's on par with Costa (shit UK coffee chain, with inexplicable popularity). I could eat one every day. I recently ate some McDonalds chicken nuggets after a night out as it was the only thing open. They were gross! How can chicken nuggets be gross?

I know I'm probably late to the party, but I just recently discovered McDonalds breakfast. I usually hate McDonalds food, but their breakfast stuff is super good.

Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)
Griddlelol replied to dartmonkey's topic in Video Gaming
I both love and hate that guy. The amount of effort he went through is just ridiculous, but man, that's some serious commitment. Nintendo inspires some crazy people to do some weird and cool things. -
I put on 8Kg of fat in the last 5 months. Thanks to stress, late nights at work (meaning I ordered junk food rather than cooking) and a back injury. Fuck me, it's noticeable too.

We have these gross things in pic 'n' mix selections in the UK. They're horrible and generally taste stale, probably thanks to being left out for years. I kept the picture full size because it feels like those horrible white chocolate mice are swarming.

Apparently they're confirmed fakes. -
Idle Cook Club - Veggie Feeds-me: My Body Is Ready

I usually make it with beef, just because it tends to be cheaper than lamb. Vegetarian versions are great also though. Just a hearty meal all around. -
Dark Souls 3 {Dark souls 2 successor [Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor)]} (Bloodborne's something)

I've been completely blind on the game too, without even trying. I know I'm not going to get a chance to play it until like June with my move and new job etc. so I'm just remaining pretty indifferent to it. I also am trying to make a conscious decision to avoid hype cycles. I bought a few too many games last year because I fell into that trap, which historically I've been able to avoid. It was a little silly to say the least.
