  1. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

I always thought Queelag was the hardest fight in DS1 by quite a long shot. Her movement and attacks just never clicked with me.
  2. lol I need to get DS3 so I can do some PvP. That's the exact reaction you go for when invading someone.
  3. Relaxing games recommendations

I so want Stardew valley, but windows PC only just means I'll never play it.
  4. Nintendo 3DS

    Shantae is fantastic.
  5. Nintendo 3DS

I don't have internet access (at least access that a 3ds can use) right now, so they're just sitting around waiting to be redeemed.
  6. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

I'd love a hybrid handleld/home console. I just don't know if it's going to happen, everyone says that's what it's going to be, but with no evidence whatsoever. I also agree, if it's backwards compatible with WiiU games, and I can just plug in my WiiU's external HDD to just play those games, I'll definitely grab it on release (if it's a reasonable price).
  7. The threat of Big Dog

Seems pointless, just like robots designed to kill people. It's way more enjoyable to do it yourself.
  8. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

SMT#FE is exactly what I want for the last WiiU game I buy. It looks gorgeous, outrageous, silly and fun. After that, I guess bring on the NX, if it has games I'll buy it (because fuck PS4.5, I can't get behind that at all).
  9. Nintendo 3DS

Holy shit, EU?! I better get on it, I want a lot of those games.
  10. Nintendo 3DS

Is this USA only? I really hope not, blocking these things by region absolutely sucks.
  11. Idle Sugar

I can't decide whether peanut butter and chocolate or hazelnut and chocolate is the best. Peanut butter and hazelnut and chocolate all together is pretty fantastic, but every time I make a Nutella and peanut butter sandwich I feel very sick afterwards.
  12. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Demons' Souls was tough for me to get into, mainly because I kept moving while playing. So there'd be weeks I didn't play and I forgot everything, requiring me to restart. It's simpler than Dark Souls in many ways, and the world design is more like Bloodborne (although better I think, at least more interesting). It also demands you use your shield much more than the other games. I'd love to do a SL1 run of DS, but I have no way of playing it! I was planning on buying a PS3 at some point so I could play through Demons' and Dark Souls, also so I could give Dragon's Dogma another punt and play a few odd games like Catherine and Binary Domain.
  13. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

It seems the consensus is that BenQ monitors are pretty fantastic for console gaming. They're pricey, but much easier to move around than a TV, and probably better image quality. Also, PS4.
  14. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Man, I want to repaly Dark Souls...and Demons' Souls.
  15. Post your face!

You shouldn't close your eyes while driving. It's pretty dangerous.
  16. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

Not sure projector is an option. Rooms tend to be rather small...
  17. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but whatever... I recently emigrated to Germany. I didn't take my TV, it wasn't amazing and was too big for me to easily transport without damaging it (along with the other shit I had to take). Now I want to play video games but I don't have a TV. I've not played console games on a monitor before, and I think that small TVs are really depressing. I don't really want to spend a lot of money on a large TV if I decide to go back to the UK in a few years. So my question is: How is console gaming on a monitor? How small of an HD tv can you get and still see details? I couldn't imagine playing The Witcher 3 on anything less than a 40 inch tv - the writing was small enough. If I decide to stay here 3+ years, then I'll splash out on a large TV, but until then I'd like to be a bit more conservative, and a monitor is easy to transport, plus I can use it for my PC if I want.
  18. I Had A Random Thought...

I've been reading The Horus Heresy books. There's a clear discrepancy in skill between the different writers, but overall I think they're good.
  19. Recently completed video games

Ah! It finally came out on Vita? I need to download it and finally play it.
  20. I Had A Random Thought...

I've started reading Warhammer 40K (well, 30K) books. To my complete surprise, I'm loving them.
  21. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Star Fox is a weird one for me. I remember I never owned the N64 game, but my friend did. I used to watch him play it, and occasionally play myself (although I was awful so I had more fun watching). The game felt so long and so difficult and so interesting as a child. I then got the 3DS version and finished it in an afternoon. So incredibly disappointed that my memory of the game was nothing like the actual game. If SF0 is anything like SF64 then I am not going near it. I prefer my memory of the game.
  22. No Man's Sky

Completely agree, it's stunning to look at.
  23. TITANFLAPS 2

That's cool, it seems like a lot of devs have cottoned onto the idea that selling map packs isn't necessarily the way to go, especially when they can sell hats and XP boosts.
  24. No Man's Sky

Lucky's tale? I saw the trailer for that and it just looked like any other non-VR 3d platformer. Maybe there's something good in there, but they certainly don't show it off in the trailer.
  25. TITANFLAPS 2

That's good, let's hope they don't make the same mistake again. I'm sure they will, it's such an obvious thing to charge for. Has any traditional console shooter released map packs for free? Or do they all wait until the community is dying in an attempt to bring people back?
