Twin Peaks Rewatch 0: The Pre-Episode
Arthur replied to Chris's topic in Twin Peaks Rewatch Episodes
It's like you knew what I wanted before even I did, can't wait to check this out later. I (shamefully) haven't watched Twin Peaks yet, despite loving Lynch's films when I watched them at university. I always knew it was going to be amazing, but never found the right moment to start watching. But now the stars have aligned, and I have no excuse at this point. -
It sounds like I'm in the same place as other people here- a few hours in, only seen the alien a couple of times. Saw some Milky Joes, creeped about, cacked my pants constantly. I'm not a big horror person but I love and am terrified by the first Alien movie. The game really nails the look and tone, which is wonderful. I guess time will tell if they can keep up the horror and immersion all the way through. I try to play games like this as realistically as possible, and try not to think about the systems at work behind the scenes, so it's been fun to creep very slowly and peek around every corner. I was very tense for the entire time I spent playing, and let out a few very loud sighs of relief when I got to checkpoints. If a game can make me feel as on edge and thrilled as the first few hours of this one did, it's got to be worth experiencing. Even if it ends up being too long or I don't get scared by the alien after a time, I'm sure it will have been worth it.

Hahaha, good ol' Luigi. Even though my hands are cramping up from holding my 3DS, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm struggling to beat people in the 1v1 For Glory mode though. Those guys don't mess around.

I was lucky enough to get The Last Word in crucible, which is almost as good looking as Hawkmoon. The best thing about it is the custom animations for when you fire, and pull it out. I like to double-tap triangle, and my hunter spins the gun around, Revolver Ocelot style.

Urgh, I played too much today and now my eyeballs, brain and hands hurt. I guess that means I like it, then.

Congratulations, and thanks! What parts did you work on?

I joined the Bungie clan thing, and have been playing on the PS4. Add me at Supermouse104, let's shoot aliens together.

Nice shots! In the future, there's no time for dancing and robots have lots of busy work to do...scary. I also took a photo in the tree at the Tower. I was playing with how the camera focuses and blurs things just after you spin it around.

Here's is some crazy good gameplay by some of the Bungie devs.

Pre-ordered my copy a while ago so I could try the beta, so am stuck waiting for it to arrive in the post tomorrow Looking forward to awakening ancient evils, becoming legend and doing what humans do best- shoot aliens in the face. Take that, everyone who isn't us! Even in one of the opening cinematics where humans first walk on Mars, they're carrying automatic rifles. Hilarious. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtsRKuRJe6A)

potential hot scoop: something I spotted during the DayZ stream that I was watching today. https://twitter.com/GamerClaw/status/440225727149903872 -
Unfortunately I missed the first round of voting (how did Mega Rad Karate Troopers not make it through?!), but I voted for Steed, Breach, Ether and No More McDonalds. Out of all the excellent ideas for games, these were the ones that seemed to have settings and moods that I thought would be most enjoyable

Dude, yes! I tracked down the Dunkin' Bro-Nuts build (because I loved the name) and it's really cool. I feel like I've learned a lot about Axe -

Arthur replied to Sean's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Hey Lords, I would love an invitation to the guild, I'm already in the Consortium Steam Group. I got into Dota at about the same time Dota Today started up. Have played about 300 hours, having a great time so far. Would be cool to play with some new pals. Thanks! http://steamcommunity.com/id/supermouse104 -
Here is something I drew for a zine I am making. They'll hopefully be available soon through GamerClaw.

Commence Shit-Plugging: I studied Illustration at university, and work as a freelance illustrator, but as a side-project I have recently started a site/blog for video game criticism/discussion: www.gamerclaw.com The aim at the moment is to get some more contributors for the site, so I can publish a wider variety of content and opinions. Hopefully in the future I can expand the site to have a podcast and video content of some sort. Please have a look guys, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Really enjoying it so far. As mentioned on the podcast this week, the control system is perfectly simple, making you feel really confident to approach the challenges set to you. I also really like the atmosphere created through the music, graphics and excellent writing. I hope Tom Francis is happy with how it came out, because it seems like something really special

Sean, I'm sorry...
