32 pound reward is "Imperial Bounty Hunter: Have the option to start in an Imperial Colony with an Imperial Eagle Mk II Fighter with upgraded weapons and shields and 1,000 CR (randomised start system choice for multiplayer reasons)** plus all rewards above."

So, I sent out a few invites in hopes of getting a group of Origin friends who'd like to play Titanfall, ME3, and Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer. I'd love to try out the new horde mode in Titanfall, or see if we can manage to find a real match even.

Is this true? Because I was under the impression that interacting with other people was now non-optional. By referring to EVE, I was mainly talking about being at the mercy of those that have played for years longer (or in this case, bought more expensive Kickstarter packages.) Considering most of what I'm interested in is the trading, the piloting of the ship isn't as much the draw for me.

I think I'm going to try and stream some Dragon Age multiplayer tonight. I'll update with a link when I've confirmed I'll have the house to myself.

I played DA:O earlier this year. The combat gets trying by the end and I hit a bug with the relationship system so things didn't quite work out with my intended, but I had a good time otherwise. I'd play it through on easy though, some of those areas are just unnecessarily long.

Why does EA need additional DRM above and beyond Origin to make this stuff work? Now I'm kinda disappointed that I bought it.

I enjoy opening packs of virtual cards as long as I'm reasonably assured of getting something interesting every once in a while. That's where ME3 hit the sweet spot and so many games missed it. In general, I could expect to get a gun I could use or a new character about 1/3 of the time, and it only took a few matches to buy a pack if you were doing good,

I ended up buying this last night. I'm looking forward to playing multiplayer, ME3 multiplayer is some of the best around, and I really wish I played it more, so I'm hoping to jump in on this and be there for the long hall.

Hmm, I've been streaming a few things occasionally, but I still feel like an idiot most of the time.

My experience is that 48 hours is where hallucinations really kick in. At first it's just seeing things at the edge of your vision and thinking someone has walked in the door but there's no one there. By about 52 I was starting to talk to people whom I thought were in the room but they weren't, that's when I called it and went to bed.

Apparently this will take save imports from DA2, which in turn takes save imports from DA1. I wonder if anything from DA1 carries all the way through to the new one?
-
Hmm, that's disappointing. Why wouldn't I just go play EVE then?

Just sent in my PM. In my old forum we took to posting hints and stuff in the thread to help those that might not be too familiar with each others' likes from past posting habits, so here it goes. In a pinch, my Steam ID is D3war and I have an Amazon wishlist available here: http://amzn.com/w/3AM23YDTK8J50 But what I really want is stuff that you think is awesome. If it's just some touristy trinkets from around your home town, or a quirky steam game that you think more people should play, I'm all for that. I love being surprised so just be creative and send me something that's important or cool to you I would definitely accept alcohol, but Washington State is still trying to figure out how to handle that stuff with the state liquor stores closing down last year, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to take the risk

Sounds like it might be doing some work in infrared then, Kinect style.

Hmm, I didn't have much of a problem with the leach boss, but it was one of the last places I went so I think I just burned him down from range before he was able to do much. The rats were annoying at first, but I found a spot on the stairs where I could stand and reliably hit them with my weapon and then it became no problem after that. The Shadowlurkers were one of the most challenging sections of the game for me, and I only really got past it by memorizing the room and dashing as fast as I could. I really enjoyed Demon Souls, even though I played Dark Souls first and then went back to play Demon Souls later. I really enjoyed the way the world was configured with the central hub and I was really surprised at the variety of enemy behaviors that felt less predictable than the AI in Dark Souls. It was definitely a lot harder though.

My Steam library is 300+ games, plus Xbox 360 and PS3 games on top of that. On the positive side, I've managed to keep to my goal of beating more games than I've purchased this year, even if my backlog has actually gone up in size due to PS+ and other freebies. With the help of buying a bunch of party games that I counted as "finished" when I'd played every game mode at least once, I've also crossed the "Beat a game a week" barrier which was kind of a secondary goal that I had in the back of my head. After being so fatigued with gaming back around February, this turned into an excellent year for games.

Hmm, looks like the PS3 version of this is fairly cheap on Amazon. Are there any particular reasons why I might want to pick up the PC version instead of PS3, stuff like better frame rate or resolution? How's the controller support in the PC version? Edit: Answered my own question. Load times seem to be the main benefit. http://www.pcgamer.com/valkyria-chronicles-pc-port-analysis-durantes-verdict/

It's worth noting that there's quite a lot of optimization yet to go. It looked like it was running at 60 for me, minus a few of the chain explosions. I left all the settings by default and am running last gen's graphics hardware. I played in 100 years and man it was touch and go a couple of times there. I had a bad event kill my two best alchemists, a mis-thrown flask kill my best hunter, but I'm still chugging along. My advice would be to make sure not to over-use the sagewright's guild, and don't be afraid to use the ability where the Chalice recruits five more heroes.

The improved multiplayer in DS2 is worth the slightly less interesting tone for me. I don't know if it would even be possible for DS2 to live up to my tonal expectations, after all DS1 was fairly unique at the time (having not owned a PS3 when it came out.)

I guess because Sonic has them swept back, you can assume that the entire front of his head is his face. With hers sticking out the side, they make it look like her head is the shape of a football with a tuft of hair at each end.

Right, but when you're selling a steam key, you're effectively cutting in another person who wants a share of the profits, plus lowering the price. Seems like a pretty crappy situation for EA and Valve so I wonder how they sustain that.
-
That would involve state-by-state legal issues. Not that I haven't fudged them in the past, but it can be a hassle.
-
Part of me really wants to play it right now, but playing it with all the polish in Spring 2015 sounds pretty good too. Who am I kidding, I won't be able to hold of for 4 more months.
