  1. "A Game A Week"

I am unfortunately going to miss my first deadline. Haven't been managing the time I've had very well at all unfortunately, and am now sitting here on Day 6 with too much left to do. Won't give up on the challenge though. Will finish this game up and start directly on the next one which I've started to figure out in my head. Hopefully I will be able to put both up on the tumblr next Thursday, finished and playtested.
  2. Other podcasts

I've realized that I can't listen to GOTY podcasts because it just makes me so annoyed with the hosts that do argue in that manner. Had to stop listening to the Giant Bomb one because of the back and forth between the different hosts on certain games.
  3. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is probably abandoned. While I can see that a lot of the individual bits and bobs are really nicely put together and Saurons Army/Nemesis (Or whatever it was called) was a mechanic I quite liked, the game as a whole has not been able to grab me. I guess I've just now reached the half-way point as I got into the grassy bit and met a dwarven hunter, and I've kept hearing that this is when it gets really good. Not sure if I'll be able to keep on though.
  4. "A Game A Week"

Thanks guys! Will probably end up being a weird mix of these as I plan on making both board and computer games. Probably Dropbox for the boardgames combined with itchio/Jolt for the computer stuff and link to it all from a tumblr or something As for the new EU VAT rules, yeah they're causing a pretty big headache for some people I know. I'll definitely check into the business thread. Thanks for the heads up!
  5. I Had A Random Thought...

So the Swedish Security Police have joined their American counterparts (CIA) in getting a Twitter account and having the first tweet be, at least, an attempt at humor. It does come of as slightly ominous however, considering their line of work. The tweet reads: "We're on Twitter now, for safety's sake. Follow us, because we're following you"
  6. Actually, It's about Relocation in Games Journalism

Rock, Paper, Shotgun is fine I think, although any posts past the first page are a pain to find.
  7. "A Game A Week"

This is cool. I'm going to attempt doing this during this year. That talk really sold me on it! My first game I'm currently working on will be a board game and I'm ridiculously excited about it. Now I just need to find a place to host all the games.
  8. I actually ended up purchasing the Numenera book as well as the Dungeon World book in the Drivethru-RPG sale that is running now. So! If there are any Euro-thumbs that want to play or if I can join you guys (time-zones allowing) I'd definitely be up for it!
  9. Life

I'm not entirely sure what category I would fit into. I guess the closest one would be Agnostic as I am not entirely convinced either way if there is such a thing as a god or not, although I tend toward acting mostly Atheist in everyday life. I've also never really encountered any problems because of this as religion has always been pretty much a non-existing topic in my social circles. Growing up I don't think I knew anyone in my school who identified as a Christian or as a member of any other religious community. One thing I have noticed from late high school and onward though, has been that several of my fellow Swedes identify with the sort of "non-specific" spirituality you talk about Roderick, with them describing they believe in "Something" rather than any specific deity.
  10. Life

Yeah, Aeroseum is pretty damn cool if you like planes. Especially old Swedish military ones It definitely made me realize I probably could never have been a Airforce Pilot, too many damn buttons in those cockpits to keep track off!
  11. Life

Right around where I grew up then Hope you liked it!
  12. I really quite enjoyed that Coristmas game. Reminds me of that PS game that was based on the developers dreams/drug hallucinations
  13. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

This was actually sort of how I imagined 80 days actually being when I first started it up and saw other dots moving around on the globe. It's a neat idea, that could work well. I also imagine something like an "Amazing Race" variant could work.
  14. Thanks, but I'm not sure if my time-zone matches yours well enough as most of you guys are in the Americas I believe? Yeah, Reddit has obviously good people too. Any community that grows that large is going to have all kinds. However, as I'm not really familiar with it besides some of the stuff that leaks out from time to time I'm not really sure what to expect from its users.
  15. I Had a Random Thought (About Video Games)

The G27 is a very fine wheel for the price they ask. I prefer it way above the Fanatec products which, while advanced and very cool, are expensive and quite liable to break. Thrustmaster products are also quite good and is in the low-mid price range of the field. Not a bigfan of their biggest and baddest wheel (T500RS) though, as its FFB feels a bit off and the wheel base gets very noisy when the fans kick in.
  16. Has anyone tried finding any other online groups? Really interested in trying this out, but not sure where to find people to play with except maybe reddit, but those people scare me.
  17. Its beginning to look a lot like GOTY

wait, so is this Prey 2 now?
  18. Games giveaway

    Nightsky is sooo good, people!
  19. Life

Fabricating claims perhaps? I think you should be wary of any gardeners in your vicinity... Talking to someone, in person, about my issues felt very good I found. Being able to actually open up about insecurities and vulnerabilities and have that person try and help left me feeling like I was taking at least some of the weight I've been carrying for such a long time off my shoulders. I definitely recommend it. Of course, I'm lucky to live in a country with socialized healthcare so it's a lot easier for me to afford which is a consideration as well.
  20. Life

I want to sound interesting, but not scare anyone away! Online dating has.. Well. Not really worked for me at all. All my fault though. It's been the one thing all my therapists have suggested as a way to avoid some of the larger parts of my anxieties around meeting people, but I can't really get myself into it. There is less anxiety for sure, but I still just end up sitting there looking at profiles wondering why any of these women would be slightly interested in talking to me :/
  21. Serial - The Podcast

Well it was the most popular podcast in the world, so I would say that garners at least some attention from other media.
  22. Recently completed video games

I just finished NightSky by Nicklas Nygren (also known as Nifflas, creator of the Knytt series and Within a Deep forest). It was a very pleasant little physics based puzzler that just oozes of that aesthetic that Nifflas is known for in his games. Quite minimalist/muted presentation, sedate pace, simple mechanics and some real clever bits that made this a very nice little game to just relax with for a few hours.
  23. Rocksmith

Steam version does not require the Uplay client, although it will ask you if you want to sign into a uplay account in-game. Not sure what effect doing it/not doing it has actually
  24. Rocksmith

You can use the same cable as far as I know!
  25. Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarter)

    Oh, that's a pretty HUD
