I've noticed that mobile developers seem to only ever have one hit game, and never recapture the audience once they're lost. Angry Birds is the only one that's ever had any significant staying power and I'm pretty sure that at least a solid chunk of that is probably just sheer inertia from being one of the first in and thus always having a place on the "most popular" list. -
Missed opportunity: not using the conspicuously absent clips of the Cars movies for "disgust." For all I know this will be good, but this trailer seems to be really banking on nostalgia toward older Pixar movies after a string of disappointments.

She plays a character clearly inspired by Elvira who's not really in the film a whole lot. I stopped paying attention. It really is pretty crummy. I appreciate that Jeff Goldblum plays a professional whose talents are wasted on trash in that movie.

The Boos in the courtyard only carry red coins until you hit a certain point in the game. I forgot to nab that star on my first run after getting 149 stars and realizing I wasn't getting the last. -

You realize you'll need to buy a My Little Pony shirt if you do the latter. If you want to make it really authentic, you'll have to decide which pony best represents you. Also, my BR copy of Bride of Frankenstein came with a second Ultraviolet code for some reason. Anyone here want it?

As soon as Uwe Boll was mentioned, I immediately thought "oh man I hope they bring up the idea of Danielle boxing him." Best. Also, films directed by Uwe Boll include House of the Dead, Postal, Alone in the Dark and Alone in the Dark II, three movies based on Dungeon Siege called In the Name of the King, all three Bloodrayne movies, a fucking scene-for-scene parody of Bloodrayne 3 called "Blubberella" starring most of the same cast, and goddamn FAR CRY.

And yeah, I hate that shit. I mean, there's a single button on most TV remotes that adjusts aspect ratio, right? It's a shame, because I really would like a cleaned-up Simpsons BR release. Not to remove cel dirt or anything, just the fairly severe compression artifacts on the current DVDs. That's probably not possible since the show was meant for TV and not film, but whatever.

I'm playing Mega Man Battle Network on Wii U VC; and it holds up incredibly well. That battle system is just so FUN.

I'm watching a Jeff Goldblum masterpiece as part of y Halloween viewing! Goldblum plays a serious journalist working for a shitty tabloid who is sent to Transylvania on assignment to investigate a series of Frankenstein attacks.
