You know, in a lot of ways, Aliens is the worst possible sequel to Alien. It's a pretty good action movie, but it throws basically everything that made the first one great under the bus. While we don't learn a whole lot about Alien's characters, at least they feel like real people instead of two-dimensional caricatures of things like "corporate weasel" and "butch latina." And the Alien itself, whose strength as a monster was that we barely understood what little we learned about it and that it was much too risky to kill, is now not only cannon fodder whose only real advantage is sheer numbers, but they now take on the familiar social structure of ants or termites. Also, technically impressive or not, the Alien Queen feels so slow and weightless that my brain refuses to see it as anything but a puppet.

Turns out I actually miscalculated that last one so I don't know what its number overall is, but #6689 is male shiny #10.

So I had a crazy thought earlier. What if Daft Punk are the Batman of the music world? Like, they've been performing for more than twenty years, they change up their style all the time, and they're only ever seen with their helmets on. What if the Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are just stage names that were passed down and the originals retired long ago? Like what if Harder Better Faster Stronger was a Bruce Wayne song, but Get Lucky was Terry McGinnis? It's probably not the case at the moment, but I hope that they just secretly pass down the mantle at some point in the future and effectively become immortal.

There is a huuuuuge sale going on on PSN right now. I've been debating on buying Danganronpa all night.

I use a Flame Body Talonflame, the Egg-Hatching O-Power you can get in Mauville City (O-Power recharge rate is based on the amount of steps on your 3DS step counter. 4000 steps a day makes it charge almost as fast as a level 3 Egg-Hatching O-Power can drain it), and the fact that the Battle Resort is just one gigantic continuous stretch of path right next to the second daycare.

You need the Motion Plus for Wii U stuff. These specific games might be fine with the original Wiimote since they're presumably straight ports of Wii games that didn't require the Plus, but in the long run you'll want the Plus model.
