Hey, if there are any other premium subscribers besides Miffy and I on here, you should give Danswers a listen. Dan is way more tolerable when you're reminded that he's actually a pretty cool guy when it comes to shit that's more important than beer and wrestling. It's very humanizing and I'm glad he started it.

Oh, one more thing: don't worry about getting a perfect Attack stat on a Special Attacker like Mareep. A 0 is actually the ideal since damage caused by confusion or an opponent using Foul Play is calculated using it I'm breeding Larvetas right now using a 0 Attack parent for just that reason. It's not a big deal if you get it higher than 0, just don't worry too much about making it perfect.

Protip: start with a parent from the Friend Safari. They don't have Mareep there, but any compatible male will do. Friend Safari Pokémon always have 3 perfect IVs. You'll eventually want to make sure you have the Destiny Knot and the Everstone so to simplify passing down IVs and natures. You'll always pass down three IVs by default or five with the Destiny Knot. Just keep checking the hatchlings with the IV Judge and trade up when you get an offspring that outclasses its parent.

I think the most refreshing part of the latest Mario Party Party was how, as time wore on and everyone got less patient, Brad eventually just snapped and called Dan out for constantly using wrestling analogies that nobody understands or cares about.

I like this new thread title. Can we tag this thread "curved edges"? Also, Twig, as someone who pretty much cleared both games, Super Mario 3D World gets balls-hard. You're right that the weird slow, almost digital movement feels very different from Galaxy; but I think it's better suited to 3D World's very geometric and precise environments. I still prefer the movement in Mario 64 to both of them, though. I replay that game occasionally and it's still second nature to me.

I am irrationally angry at the fact that htoL#NiQ is keeping its terrible name for its English release. It's barely legible even in Japanese, and The Firefly Diary is a way better title anyway.

This Chrome extension replaces the word "SJW" with the word "skeleton" and I cannot recommend it enough.

DMP is doing yet another Kickstarter, this time to translate Alabaster. Alabaster was the thing I wanted most out of their huge mega-kickstarter, so I'm really happy about that. I also think this is the only Tezuka manga with a black protagonist (in a manner of speaking. he's translucent for most of it), so that could be interesting, historically.

It's weird how movies went from getting everything unintentionally wrong with technology to just not even having the pretense of caring. The Net and Hackers are naive, all of the bullshit produced now with floating blue hologram displays is just willfully ignorant. -
The best part is that this was drawn by Corey Lewis, who is way more likely to think that this is legitimately the most badass thing possible than think it's just riiculous.

Reckless Emboar is live! Enter code "POKEMON500" on the Mystery Gift menu to receive it. Reckless increses the damage dealt by moves with recoil damage by 20%, which is ideal for Emboar given its naturally high HP and Attack and access to an excellent pool of recoil moves (namely Flare Blitz, Head Smash, and Wild Charge).
