Oh, I agree. Especially when they're all about a sequel no one saw to a film no one remembers. -
Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

Man, Bruce Willis really doesn't give a fuck anymore, does he? -
There was Wario World two years after that, Wario: Master of Disguise in 2007, and Wario Land: Shake It in 2008. Wario's kind of weird in that he's now spent more time as the curator of weird minigame collections than he did as a platformer star. I don't think he's going back. Oh man I hope this isn't just a Japanese Club Nintendo reward or something. Between this and Nintendo's announcement that they're releasing a bunch of Pokémon soundtracks, maybe Nintendo's just going to regularly release their soundtracks like a lot of other Japanese devs do.

The saddest thing to me is that adorable little Spoink evolves into ugly ol' Grumpig.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sometimes just sits there and narrates a game in a British accent.

Was anyone else just now on the main site for the five minute window where the main page preview of Kobe's Last Shot was up, but the episode was not yet? And then the whole thing disappeared?

An additional Toad. EDIT: or Nabbit

You know, I have three notions regarding the unlockable character mentioned above: Does this mean we can do 5-player gameplay as well? Because that's totally a thing that the Wii U can do. Why reveal the unlockable character? My friend hypothesizes that there might be more than one, which I agree with. I really like that not only do Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach all keep their Super Mario 2 mechanics, but the new character has a similar exclusive gimmick that's entirely appropriate to their game of origin.

Miiverse is a thing where every single game has a sort of tiny forum community/twitter feed. You can, at any time, post screencaps along with drawings or short messages and take a look at what others have done. I used it to chronicle a sequence breaking run in Super Metroid through screencaps and to help first-time players who were stuck on certain parts of the game, Jeremy Parish posted a billion fun little drawings as he was going through New Super Mario Bros. U, Masahiro Sakurai posts Smash Bros. development screenshots almost every day, etc. It sounds dumb, but it's actually pretty neat in practice. Also if they ever roll out the update they promised ages ago we can get an Idle Thumbs community going on there.

It's definitely a feature that I wish for all the time though. I'm just excited that the thing is there now, since it means that we now have the potential to see things like shared licenses and things being tied t o an account rather than the system itself. Also, who else is gonna' be part of the cool kids club that will surely gather around the Miiverse community for the Ambassador Certificate?

So there was a Nintendo Direct just now! The 3DS is getting Miiverse (after announcing it like a year and a half ago), Nintendo is FINALLY implementing a unified account system (as in shared wallet, presumably not shared licenses), and Youtube support is coming as well. Welcome to the glorious present, Nintendo.

Is there a book about Mr. Bones' Wild Ride, the 60,000 foot long ride that takes 70 real-time minutes and several in-game years to complete (and then funnels NPCs back to the entrance)?

Cat Poke By: Jason Boyer Available: right here Synopsis: You are a very small girl stuck inside on a rainy day who has decided to make it her mission to poke every one of her family's nine cats in the butt. Puzzle platformer. Very short and surprisingly fantastic.

Goon of Prunes? Also, as revealed in the Life thread, I have started playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game again. I do this because I am an idiot. I'm really impressed with Nintendo's continued effort to make it good, though. It's much better now than it was when I last played it, and it's got a buggy but conceptually really nice online version (you get codes in decks and booster packs to unlock digital equivalent). I also like that they're doing a MTG Fat Pack sort of thing with the Elite Trainer Boxes they're putting out. I really like the Genesect one I got.

I managed to get a little sleep and felt much better, thank you. I feel really crummy lately so I'm gonna' go to the doctor soon. I'm not looking forward to walking all the way there in the cold.

Remember when people held up their backlit handhelds like lighters when The Minibosses played at the first PAX and it was novel and cute? (I'm with Chris on this one)

The Character was Waluigi in a hypothetical Waluigi game. The episode was Up On This Boss. Timestamped.
