AHhhh schmup's are sooooo good! Especially now on the iPad. This game would be perfect for iPad and I really hope it reaches that stretch goal as I'd imagine it would be the optimum way of playing it. I have been a little concerned about all the scared bullet hell babies. Grow a pair I was completely sold on this game until I read about the randomised narrative elements... why? I kinda wish they'd just create a linar well written adventure game, but I'll reserve judgement until I play it or at least know more about it. If the game can be completed in 2-3, fair enough, could work. If the adventure game parts are less solving puzzles and are actually just telltale style narrative choice stuff

Did a search and didn't find anything, so... Oculus rift thread! Does no one else think this'll be an absolutle fucking game changer? I was just thinking what the possibility of this thing being compatable with games consoles was, their FAQ actually states "We hope to make the headset compatible with major consoles and mobile devices in the future." I don't know what the probability of that happening is, but I think it would capture people's imaginations like the Wii did. It seems like the second anyone puts it on their nut they're instantly sold on it. What i'd really love is to experience something like bioshock infinite, or even the first bioshock, for the first time with this thing. At that DICE summit a lot of people were talking about getting older people and non gamers into gaming. I think this thing could be the key. Ease them into gaming by first selling them in VR. You could make a VR replicate of the titanic and just let people walk around it on its maid voyage (even sell DLC for the iceburg collision and sinking of the ship watched from a life raft). You could replicate classic football matches and you can watch it from anywhere in the stand, or as one of the players, experience the winning goal as the scorer. Average joe non gamer would go ape shit for this stuff. The possibilities are fucking endless and that's before you even bring gaming into it. I think (handled correctly) this thing could come out and take the world by surprise, change the whole gaming industry and in 5 years from now 73% of all at home gaming will be done with one of these on your head.

Jim sterling put a review up earlier giving it a 5/10 saying that it's a jack of all trades, master of none. Would've been better if it just focused on horror but instead is all over the shop http://www.thejimquisition.com/2015/01/dying-light-review/

Yeah, Secret ponchos last month for one. Resogun the first month the PS4 came out. um that metal slugs inspired game. Stick it to the man? There have been quit a few Edit: Contrast. Don't Starve? Dead Nation. Velocity 2X. Towerfall. I'd say probably a third of the PS4 games so far http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Instant_Game_Collection_games_%28PAL_region%29#PlayStation_4 but i highly doubt they'll put Grim up straight way like this. Maybe in like 6-9 months

I just went to the gym for the first time ever! Almost 2 months after I took out the membership I went on a dodgy treadmill that kept stopping of its own accord. I think I need to get some practice on the treadmill as it felt quite unnatural and I was all over the place, I'm sure I'll get used to it in time. I only dared go at a fast jog from fear of falling off. My right calf and ankle hurt now so I've got a feeling my shoes are probably all wrong, I never had that in the past from playing football or running home from the pub at 2am. Then I went on the rowing machine wear I felt a lot more comfortable. I'm built like a rower (6ft5 slim build) albeit extremely unfit with a paunch. I'm already boasting about how I'll be rowing for England in next years Olympics.

Hey my old thread I'm currently reading book 3 of lightbringer, i'm only like 15% in. In quite an unexpected turn it seem like they're laying in an extra layer of mysticism by introducing gods into the mix, I'm not entirely sure yet that is what is happening and I kinda hope not, I prefer when its a little more grounded, the stakes don't seem to matter so much when gods are involved. Really enjoying it though! I'm gonna go read it now. I rate both these series higher then the Mistborn trilogy that has a lofty reputation on goodreads It's a shame you weren't enjoying the night angel books. I absolutely ate through those books like 6 years ago, I remember the third book being really fun

I'm sure the Vita version will have touch controls so iPad must be in the pipeline. Maybe they're holding off because of the pricing model, as in people will expect a far cheap price point on iPad.... okay maybe not: Broken age act 1 is £7.99. GrimF on GOG is £9.29
