Yeah Gormongous, that's the scary part. They're just rolling the dice and most of the stuff will get shut down, but probably some stuff will go through because you know, the courts are known to make bad decisions from time to time.

If my daily checkup on the front page of the WSJ and Fox News are any indication, they are blissfully ignorant, and it turns out they actually don't have any serious issues with government officials using private email servers to conduct government business. So glad we cleared that up on week one.

The good news is that a lot of these executive actions are probably unenforceable (that's what you get when you have media people like Bannon coming up with this stuff instead of lawyers drafting the language and having relevant federal administrations review the orders). The bad news is that it creates a lot of ambiguity in the government and that will make things more dysfunctional.

I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for 8 years because what typically happens is the President running for reelection gets reelected. Ugh.

Yeah I remember that part is poorly telegraphed (i.e. it isn't at all really). There's a door that opens in an old church to the left of the area when exiting the cathedral where you fought Amelia. Bummer you're not feeling it. It's still my favorite thing From has done since Demon's Souls!

I think as long as it doesn't turn into a podcast exclusively about Disneyland or world or whatever I'm good.

Yay! That seems pretty reasonable, I'll miss the internalization meter, but it'll always be there for future PC games.

The Long War 2 mod is out! Haven't played it yet, but it looks great. Also the timing is kind of funny because I started up a game of Civ 6 last night in the first time like since the first two weeks of that game's release, but it looks like that will be on hold...

Rachel Kushner's The Strange Case of Rachel K is quick, and very much worth reading. At first I thought it was three short stories, but actually they are all tied together. It's a short read, and worth going in blind.

Pagon Idol seems nice, but honestly considering how crowded it gets I'd prefer Whitechapel.

I work a couple blocks away from where GDC is held, so I'd be happy to meet up with people for lunch. These bar suggestions sound good too, I haven't been to either but have been meaning to check out both.

I can't tell you what I was referring to because I haven't seen the original trilogy movies in like over a decade and so my memory is super hazy about all that stuff. It could be both lines blurred in my head together. The actual line certainly isn't important to me anyway, it helps flesh out a neat story related to the first movie regardless.

I always enjoy a good SS2 speedrun.

DS3 is always one more DLC away from making sense.

The Drakeblood sword shows up pretty late into DS3. Luckily the Hollowslayer greatsword owns.

Frenzy is just dumb. It would be cool if like you built it up by looking at certain things, but it works the exact opposite way, it is more of a Medusa's gaze mechanic. The tools you have to ameliorate frenzy are also almost completely worthless because of how quickly it builds up. It's just one of those things that could have been cool, but is more of an annoyance than anything else. Everything I've heard is that the game runs exactly the same on the PSPro (I have the old PS4 though so I have no personal knowledge).

Hey all, Lately I've really been enjoying the flow of coming home from work, checking in on Chaos Reborn and Frozen Cortex to see what turns are available. It's been a really nice multiplayer experience for me, and I think other people here would enjoy it, and I wanted to extend the invitation. Any other quality suggestions for asynchronous turn based games are welcome. I think the only criteria really needs to be that a match shouldn't be too many turns (i.e. not Civilization). If people submit one turn a day, the match should be completed in less than a month. Games that are larger in scope rarely get finished, in my experience.

Hey everybody. I've been teaching myself how to program, and I created a web app that lists players from the DOTA 2 leaderboards that are currently streaming on Twitch (sorted by MMR).
