What makes me really sad about stuff like this, the flyers, the endless shitty sargon of akkad videos that somehow get into my recommendations, etc, is that now I have a negative association built up with Anita Sarkeesian's face since it's so often used for their asshole propaganda. It disgusts me that they've succeeded even in that minimal way to get into my head.

I don't know what's going on in my game but non-boss levels are ending before they even finish loading for me. I basically just have to wait 10 glitchy seconds for the next boss to pop up. This shit is bananas. It's on level 4,500 after running for 6.5 hours.

Doesn't seem like there's a lot of content in this game. With how accelerated it is now, you can unlock pretty much everything about 5 hours after it starts

Blehhhhh, I dislike the implication that as adults we're no longer supposed to give any fucks what anyone thinks of us, that we're never supposed to want encouragement or adulation. A better perspective might be to observe that the need for acknowledgement and encouragement isn't being met in many people's day to day lives, and that pushes them towards an empty and distant version of the same. Just dismissing it as kid shit is socially deaf and vaguely cruel.

I liked The Spirits Within alright and thought Advent Children was wretched. Oh well! Also I think when I was a kid I was convinced that ninjas walked slowly sideways with their hand on a sword behind their back because that's what they did in the Ninja Gaiden arcade game. -
Even before pitching, I have a hard time just feeling like my writing is something that a publication would be interested in. I mostly have been trying to write presuming an audience of game designers, and though I often end up writing stuff that isn't really design focused and also there's a lot of overlap of interest between game design and game criticism, I have no idea where the sorts of things I write might become the sorts of things people would be willing to pay for writing of. So far, it's mostly been just a way to keep my mind sharp and maybe build a bit of a name for myself.

IIRC ghost-mom also appeared with ghost-bro at the climactic moment to help him overcome his fears or whatever. Mostly I just would have rather played the spider girl eating obnoxious generic boys than played the obnoxious generic boys killing a spider girl even after she was crippled and unable to fight back.
