Yeah this is actually exactly how I felt too.

I remember you from RPS, I think we played Dungeon Defenders together a couple years ago.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

New Jamie T album is out, also I'm seeing him in December at the Independent which should be good. -
I haven't gotten close to beating any of the games and currently have 15 unused Plaza tickets because I've already gotten everything I want and everything else is kind of meh. I've probably been wearing the tingle hat for over a year.

Yeah I always fight people once I get to around 60-70% of their units.
-
I finally had my first battle in a couple weeks the other day which means that I won't be able to do anything in that game any time soon.
-
I always skip Mii force and agree that Monster Manor is the best of the games.

Mega sableye looks super creepy.

I think I've played CQ on Halloween night the past 2-3 years and I almost have enough in my steam wallet from selling CSGO stuff to get #2 for free, but I haven't played the dlc for the first game yet so I might just play that instead and get 2 next year. I suppose I could always play the game on a day other than Halloween, but it would feel weird.

The comic book focused spin-off of Book Riot went live recently at Panels.net and it's got a lot of cool people working on it so I figured I'd share it. There isn't a lot at the moment as it just started this month, but they have a big list of contributors lined up and a lot of the names have me excited, plus the whole project is being run by Paul Montgomery who is a really cool dude.

I started playing Animal Crossing again and one of my villagers moved away. Man this game is rough.

Yeah, what both of you just said is exactly how I feel and what I was trying to get at by saying it might not work rather than it might not be entertaining. I think it'll be entertaining to watch no matter what.

I feel like there is a really big chance that it doesn't work at all, but I liked the Twin Peaks episode of Psych with all the cast members so I don't know, I guess I reserve a little hope and will watch it regardless.

Everyone seems to really like Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc., but I remember watching an episode or two on Netflix and really being disappointed. Does it improve as it goes on? I'm reading about it on Netflix and I guess it has a long ongoing plot instead of just being a bunch of one-and-done episodes, which I hadn't realized.

Super Smash Bros. (Spoiler: Snake Kills Ganondorf)

When they originally announced the 2ds I thought it was kind of dumb, but now I know more people who have a 2ds than have a 3DS. Everyone I know who picked up a system just for this game went with a 2ds. -
I believe that was an original story JMS came up with and has only ever been in that single issue. I really liked it and I normally don't like most things by JMS, comics or otherwise, but that issue was great.Edit: regarding the Oni bundle, The Sixth Gun and Letter 44 are both great and are both on my list of books that I read monthly in issues which isn't very long. Stumptown also is a good detective book which makes since as it's by Greg Rucka. I think a third volume of it just started which I'll probably look into once it's collected. I haven't read any of the other books besides Scott Pilgrim/Lost at Sea

Was that the girls nnight out issue with wonder woman and zatana I think, by JMS?

I read Batgirl Year One a while ago and liked it, but I honestly don't remember anything about it other than the Marcos Martin art being fantastic like usual so that might not be a good sign for the actual story. I haven't read the Batgirl Adventures book, but the Batman Adventures books were good, especially if you like the animated series as they were in the same style and by the same writers, like Paul Dini.

I haven't played 13 so I didn't realize it was semi-real-time, from what I've seen of it it looked like the normal select your moves from a menu and then your party attacks. I thought they had just gone back to something more like the old games and was worried that that might also be the case in 15, but I guess I was wrong. I actually really liked the combat in 12 and it's my favorite post-ffvi game because of it. Also, for what it's worth I played FFXI and it was weird. It was trying really hard to simulate the feel of a normal Final Fantasy game so there weren't actually hotkeys like normal MMOs, you had to use a menu to select what you wanted to do from the usual stuff like "Attack" or "Magic" or "Items" and it would get queued up. How was FFX different from the other games, I remember it being pretty much the same, but it's been a while since I played it.
-
I like that the combat isn't standard turn-based final fantasy combat. I'm excited for this game, but man that hair is trying hard to make me not.

I really want to play this, but am super busy atm so probably won't for a while. I kickstarted this, Broken Age, Banner Saga, and Tex Murphy and have yet to play any of them.

I started watching Static Shock after Milestone stuff was brought up in the comics thread. I think I'm liking it more than I did as a kid, and I really liked it as a kid. Also a lot of the more serious stuff like gang violence and the kids coming from low income single parent families seems a lot less in the background than I remember it being when I was little.

I hope this game is about being in a boy band.

http://xspongexcorex.bandcamp.com/album/how-tough-are-yah I really dig this, mostly because shitty metal songs with clips from cartoons were basically all I did in 9th grade. A song called "Lasagna Bomb" featuring a scene from Doug is probably the crowning achievement of my life. -

I saw Notch at PAX in 11 and a bunch of media people came over to the booth and he hid under a table with his laptop for half an hour.
