Just one final thing, I cracked the safe code with the disquette contents and WOW, does it change your perspective on the game! And I've heard it might change depending on how you play!

In case anybody still cares about this game, they updated the site with the information on the disquette here so you can crack the safe code yourself. it's still missing the handwritten letter though.

The safe contains the letter you get in the Collector's Edition, I don't the point of getting the code if you don't have the letter. Maybe the update will have the letter in the game? If not, I can PM a summary of mine.

Tanukitsune I would be interested in knowing what the letter you got says.

Also possible spoiler question for other people who have finished the game...

is it actually possible to see the live-action videos they show in the trailer in the game? Or were those only for the trailer?

I'll post a summary of the letter here:

The letter is from your wife and talks about the character's drinking and "retreating into his own world" and suggests that your wife left you because she think you no longer need her and she's sorry it had to be this way.

One of the videos should be in the link I posted earlier and I think the rest were posted at the official Twitter and / or Facebook page.

The next couple days are going to be great for horror games for those of us on the east side of North America. That is, if you're not playing real-life horror.

Since there was a thread for this I decided to finally play it. I am grateful that it is short, since I love short games, but also because

there isn't much to do in the game other than read and hit space bar to read some more. I found the prose to be awkward, so much so at times that it was very distracting. This was exasperated by the fact that it is so painfully obvious from the very beginning that you are the killer. One of the first text boxes in the game goes something like "I remember coming home angry and seeing Rachel scared." Even if Silent Hill 2 didn't exist I think it would still be clear from the beginning what was going on. There are some cool things about the game but it was one of those experiences where I was never hooked.

I did have a lot of fun for ten minutes when

I had to find the combination to the safe. The pictures, the video, all of that stuff was awesome.

I'd like to suggest that people check out Lone Survivor, a similar experience that I think has better writing and just a lot more going on in general.

Actually the game is what you want it to be, it has various path and hints that may lead you to think other-wise, in one of my stories it made it look like he was a drunken bastard whose life had left him and he thought she had been killed.

The biggest thing about the game? It seems the content of the safe CHANGES depending on how you playing the game, mine had a letter and some brain scans, she was dying and I started to drink to "escape" this reality.

I wonder, does the game provide the letter in any form? I'm beginning to suspect each hand written letter is different.
