Send us questions about games or stuff

Recommended Posts

We're recording the next episode tonight (doing it a day early this week because Nick has a hot date with the games industry) and our reader mail inbox seems to be emptier than it has been for the last few weeks.

So send us questions! questions@idlethumbs.net

We will read them on the show and it will be totally awesome. Video games.

You've read some questions from, what is it, NeoGaf or something? I've almost heard of it -- isn't it a big huge game forum community or something like that? Are they like the 4chan of games?

It's a widely-read online game forum. A lot of industry people post there, and a lot more lurk. It can be kind of outrageous but it's not really like 4chan because it's heavily moderated.

How do the ones among you who played Far Cry 2 feel about Redding's interview and Clint Hocking's keynotes/conference now that the game is out, and that it's definitely not the semi-autonomous character driven juggernaut they promised it would be ?

Or, uh, his quote

Looks like we're tracking to pull down an 86 to 88 aggregate rating depending on how you count it and where you look. I'm not at all happy with that

On metacritic they get 88. The reader reviews give it an average of 6.5 :/ Kind of what I would give it really.

Obviously I loathed Dead Space but everyone I know is coming back with different impressions. Even with some of the poor games that have come out, EA actually look like they are trying, that the crap they've churned out for years isn't good enough any more....

The question is, are you willing to forgive their discrepancies? They've shafted us for so long, is it worth puting up with the crap they keep spewing?

{Tried to pose this as a question to the hiperlink, it did not work}

Have any of you tried the new Guitar Hero? Without trying to give you any leading questions, what are your thoughts on the drum and vocal implementations?

This isn't the same address you have on the Thumbs.net homepage!

This one forwards to that one!
