Mercury Meltdown - Opinions?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone played this Mercury Meltdown Revolution game for the Wii, or any of its previous incarnations (Archer Macleans Mercury for the PSP)? I just learned of it, as it will soon be released in the US for a mere $20, but looks like it came out in the UK several months ago. It sounds like it might be more interesting than the usual budget game, but without some Thumbs to tell me what to think, I have no opinion. :deranged:

It's pretty good. It's a lot more 'deep' than Kororinpa, because you often have to control two or more blobs and paint them in different colours. The visuals are a bit gaudy, but that shouldn't matter.

Of course, the game doesn't have the same rich personality as a Monkey Ball, but for a budget price it's pretty nice.

I definitely want to pick it up. I played it on the PSP for a while and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was quite a good sequel, if you ask me. The original had a good premise but the execution left a lot to be desired. It was a first gen PSP game and it had THE WORST load times.

Anyway, yeah. The puzzles are fairly varied and interesting. There's lots of them and it doesn't take a lot of time to do each so it's a perfect pick up and play game. Can't comment on how well the controls have translated to the Wii though.
