Roderick Posted July 26, 2007 Hello CD-wow, I have grown tired of the delays you keep sending me. It has now been over a month that I have been waiting for Pokemon Diamond, and over four times now you have delayed the shipping without a satisfying reason and without anything more than a witless, corporate apology. The game is now even for sale in my own country, annulling any reason I had for ordering with you in the first place. I have had enough of this tomfoolery and demand an immediate refund. I hereby cancel my order, madams and sirs, and you can rest assured that I will not seek business with your site again. This might have been prevented had you compensated me for my inconvenience through the donation of even the smallest token; a redeemable voucher for your site or some appropriate piece of paraphernalia. In the light of current events, however, I must judge your actions to be one of poorest customer service. JoannaDark Posted July 27, 2007 poor rodi, if you read it carefully, they really don't think its their fault, do tehy? so not to make you feel worse or anything, but....i have it! woke up with tonsillitis so bad i couldn't talk, limped down to game, dripping cold sweat rather than piddle, and pointed at the game and at my reward card to indicate i'd pre-ordered it. i ended up having to write it down. game have hired a pretty but dim guy who doesn't understand tonsillitis sign language. i got it! and cos it was so obvious i was dying he gave me 2 styli! but don't feel too jipped, they're monstrous and ugly. but screw it! i've never felt more excited to hear the little ds turn on noise before! yay! Roderick Posted July 27, 2007 Hmm, I heard that the oversize styluses are actually better in use. Got a picture? If you've got a spare, perhaps you wouldn't mind sending the extra one over to me because we share in Poké-disaster? Hopefully your tonsillitis will simmer down over the next few days. As for me, I won't go Diamondless for long. As soon as I have a confirmation I'll get my money back, I'll head over to the nearest shoppe and scoop up a copy. DVD extra director's commentary: in the mail, I toyed with the idea of ending it with the sentence 'I do not suffer fools gladly', but thought better of it in the end. I'd have said it more because I love saying it than it being appropriate.
Spaff Posted July 27, 2007 i bought pearl and diamond, but accidentally in japanese... so i orderd it again, and the guy never shipped it, so i claimed money back from pay pal and ordered it from the same guy Lawrence got his copies from. They got lost in the post... This is about the time i gave up on the idea of playing pokemon. p.s does anyone want pokemon in japanese?
JoannaDark Posted July 27, 2007 as soon as i am up and at'em a pic will be displayed unfortunately rodi my other stylus has been promised to another but sure when i'm better i'll pop down to mr tim nice but dim in game and see if i can wheedle another one outta him! its weird cos its like the least stylus-heavy game i've seen in a long time, you only use it to give ur pokemons nicknames (my geodude is called the dude and of course there's chimmy the chimchar) everything else is buttonway. its a bit good though. despite looking exactly like harvest moon. Roderick Posted July 27, 2007 Ah, that would be most kind of you, miss! See if you can coerce Tim-the-dim to cough up another one. A most admirable piece of skullduggery is called for! And you, Spaff, sir, are another fine example of how Pokémon has seemingly developed a taste for man's misery. Shocking!
JoannaDark Posted July 31, 2007 here it is, the ugly bastard... to further illustrate the size of this ugly bastard...
Wrestlevania Posted July 31, 2007 As much as you deride that hefty Pokéstick, my gnarled claws* weep in pain at the memory of the original DS' stylus. If I'd had something like that when I still had my DS, I think it would've been infinitely more comfortable to play. * My office nickname is 'The Claw' btw - that's how big my hands are (apparently). Roderick Posted July 31, 2007 Because Pokémon is such a touch-screen light game, I never use the stylus but just tap the screen slightly with my pinky's nail (to avoid both scratches and oily stains, you see). But I must say that the comparison between the styli/uses of the normal DS and the Lite results in a heavy preference for the latter. Perhaps a big stylus is simply better in use? Of course, you can't chuck this bastard into the machine, so it's a bit ungainly to carry around; taking away from the 'portable' aspect. The Dialga figure on top is quite nice though. I mean; it's an aberration, but a nice one.
