LOPcagney Posted February 2, 2007 I don't think there's any way to play Half Life 2 offline, right? It's kind of funny how people cite the fact that an MMORPG lasts only as long as it's server in support of more traditional gaming experiences, and yet it seems this problem has leaked it's way into even single-player games. I understand the whole copy/piracy protection mentality behind it, though, and I'm not going to lie, I actually like the interface and think it makes the whole gaming/shopping/media-sharing experience alot easier and more convenient. But in cases like these... You should definately be able to have the option to use Steam, just like when it was first introduced for CS.
DanJW Posted February 2, 2007 Err you tried Steam support ¬¬. Linkie to an article which may help you. Cold Oh, I've combed that page many, many times. I've followed every link and instruction on it. I think I'm going to try reinstalling again. Yeah, generally I like Steam, but this really is a pain in the ass.
