twmac Posted December 28, 2006 I've spent the last couple of hours plowing through UK Ressistance's site. The posts are generally pretty funny, and in ways I wish I'd read them a long time ago. But F**k me the replies. Are they serious? Are there really that many wankers out there? I know Yufster posted a similar thread awhile back, and I claimed to be as bad as the posters... I don't think I realised how ridiculous one can sound when trying to give head to a faceless corporation. It really is depressing to see the exchanges that go on between people that are probably verging on some sanity, resorting to the kind of bollocks they do UK:R, as far as I can tell is a very anti-Sony site (have no problems with that), yet people persist in writing this utterly unfounded Sony-based written felattio in the comments like anyone cares. My question is, were the people who read this site always such Sony lovers, and thus as far from the demographic as the site originally intended?
Roderick Posted December 28, 2006 I have no idea what those people are looking for over there, but my guess is they're either hurters, or not totally serious. Actually, I've never read the comments because comments are usually either too voluminous to bother with, or -more likely- completely irrelevant and upsetting in their idiocy. As for UK:R itself, they have their moments of humour, but I also think they sometimes delve too much into juvenile porno-comedy. The anti-Sony stance is amusing though. The PS3 Lie Watch is particularly good.
twmac Posted December 30, 2006 I have since realised that the key to reading UK:R without losing my wits is not to read the supporting comments. Just because they read a site that contains humour, does not necessarily mean they contain any themselves.
