baconian Posted September 26, 2006 A Link to a great flash game, for people who don't keep an eye on jayis. The intriguing thing about this, is that it was designed by the BBC's history team, actual journalists historians, and they seem to have put together a really tight little adventure, with nice touches all over the place. I reckon people in lots of other fields would be far better placed to have great design ideas for games than actual games industry people, who tend to draw inspiration from other games (I know this from my brief foray in the industry), rather than, y'know, reality. baconian Posted September 26, 2006 Another game I wont bother making a new thread for, although I really should. It's fucking awesome. Dwarf Fortress. via this guy via this guy. Sort of beats spore to the punch, in a way. But using ascii art.
brkl Posted September 26, 2006 http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/romans/launch_gms_cdx.shtml That's an FMV adventure made by the same team (Preloaded). Only part 1 of 4 released, but it's fun.
