Dance Dance Revolution

I have no real personal experience with DDR, since the idea of playing Simon with my feet totally doesn't appeal to me, but my friend got one of the home editions a long while back and had some complaints about it. If you can afford the higher priced hard pad (dunno what it's really called...the one that is similar to the actual arcade pad...), it is a MUCH better product than the mat the games typically come with, because they have really poorly placed sensors and have a tendency to bunch up on 'ya when you are trying to do some of the more complex "dances". He eventually just nailed the mat to a hard wooden board to alleviate some of the problems, then finally just gave up on it altogether.

But then, this was like several years ago, so maybe the newer products are worth a damn. But I doubt it.

I've been reading the reviews on mats and found what appears to be somewhat decent. If she likes the game over all, I could always look into finding out how to BUILD a decent one, as I've heard it's cheap.

Thanks for helping though. :)
