Duncan Posted March 30, 2005 Apparently. http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=24318 So Jak X (wow, x! awesome!) is a racing game. I guess I was naive when I believed all those Jak III ads which called it the end of an epic or something equally ludicrous. And Ratchet: Deadlocked is a squad combat game. Argh, I don't even care anymore.
n0wak Posted March 30, 2005 So Jak X (wow, x! awesome!) is a racing game. I guess I was naive when I believed all those Jak III ads which called it the end of an epic or something equally ludicrous. Maybe they weren't talking about Jak per say, and instead were talking about Jason Rubin. And Ratchet: Deadlocked is a squad combat game. Argh, I don't even care anymore. So a Ratchet and Clank game without Clank? Isn't that sort of like a BLT without any bacon?
Tanukitsune Posted March 30, 2005 I deeply despise all Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchetsand Jak-like games.... They began as plataform games and are now well, shooters on skateboards... or similar.... (Ok, I actually liked Kya Dark Lineage) We've gone from "We hate your game already" from "I just don't care anymore..."
SoccerDude28 Posted March 30, 2005 I thought Insomniac said they were done with doing Ratchet and Clank games. I wish the whole world was Tim Schafers "If I did a sequel to Day of the tentacle, there wouldn't be a Full Throttle, and if I did a sequel to Full Throttle, there wouldn't be a Grim Fandango, and if I did a sequel for Grim, there wouldn't be Psychonauts." I am a big fan of Ratchet and Clank (and to a lesser degree Jak) but the premise of a squad based combat game featuring ratchet, and a driving game featuring Jak don't appeal to me at all. Bc9b Posted March 31, 2005 I'll give deadlocked a chance, or at least give them a few versions to get it right. Took R&C a few. But a racing game? Thats just sad.
